"Nicest people in the hotel industry"
Beautiful property. Very clean and quiet. Their are choices of food but, they close at weird times and a little expensive. It is better to eat off site.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was nice enough however, the room has only two small bars of soap, when the room was cleaned the next day the did not leave any more soap. This really bothered me considering the price of the room. The service at every resturaunt in the hotel was terrible. The food was way over priced and was very poor in quality. I will not ever stay there […] again nor would I recommend it to anyone. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Over the top"
Spectacular facility. Multiple atria or glass domes make you feel like you are outside on a nice spring day. Worth staying in just to see facility. Very large with multiple levels that aren't always connected so somewhat challenging for folks with mobility issues. You can walk a long way in this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"avoid at all costs"
Especially if you stay a Sunday or weekend....most restaurants and shops closed. Also everything is way overpriced - the priciest restaurants indeed remained open Sunday. Also miscommunication between the staff, eg waving us into a valet lane and then telling us its a thru lane only when we get out. Its great on weekends and when splurging but otherwise […] avoid it Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Highly overpriced"
The hotel is nice for conventions because of the space. However, food choices were limited during the day because everyone went to lunch at the same time. Lines were backed up so far that people either had to skip lunch or miss an after lunch meeting. It is a wonderful atmosphere, but does not justify the cost of an overnight stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Expensive but nice"
The resort fee and self parking fee are exorbitant! From a guest-relations view if I was Gaylord management I'd get this changed ASAP. But when the convention you are attending is in the same hotel, you are pretty much stuck with the Opryland. The rooms are nice, the overall facility well maintained.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Mixed feelings!"
I find it very difficult to rate my stay at the Gaylord. i was staying for a convention, and stayed in a standard room. I am a seasoned traveller and I can honestly say that this is the most confusingly laid out hotel I've ever come across. It's blatantly clear that the hotel was initially built a certain size, and then extended, and then some more, […] and then even some more! It was utterly confusing, and by the 4th day I was really no closer to understanding the layout. With that being said, I cannot fault the hotel when it comes to service, cleanliness, and overall appearance. There are several decently priced restaurants on the premises, and a really large mall with an adequate food court next door. There are however absolutely no health stores in the vicinity, and anyone wanting basics such as fruit will have to make a massive trip to get this. Also, the hotel's location is very far from down town and as such, a cab will cost you $25 each way. There is a shuttle service, but this ends at 11:30PM, which is rather odd considering that Nashville is well known for its night life. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"The hotel is a MAZE! Too confusing."
The hotel itself is huge - which may seem great because it has 15 restaurants, shops, etc. However, the layout of the hotel is WAY TOO CONFUSING. All hallways look alike. I had to use a map at every intersection, elevator, etc. I got lost every single time I left my room. Finding food source is hard enough when the hotel is a maze, then you get there […] to find the good is extremely overpriced for small portions. And the worst part is, you have no other options since even walking to the mall next door is a 20 minute adventure- if you can find your way out. I felt like a mouse stuck in a trap but easily distracted by shiny objects- in this case its the indoor garden atrium. But really, do you really need a hotel this big? Stay closer to downtown and get yourself a less confusing place to get out of. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Opryland Hotel"
The hotel is lovely-they've done extensive work post-flood. All the bars are in one place now, and I miss the one that was in the Delta section-it had more variety of music. The one thing that I didn't like was the fact that some kind of fire/storm/whatever alarm in my room sounded for about 3 seconds in the middle of the night and I could not get back […] to sleep as I heard LOUD snoring in the room next door. Also, they tried to charge me parking fee, but my car was not on their property! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Bigger than life hotel"
I've organized large events and stayed at this hotel, but it's been about 13 years. It's nice, large, but I always feel like I'm in a terrarium. Don't like the fact I can't open my window and I'm on permanent lock down. Food was always delicious and service of staff friendly and sincere. Used the health club - it was nice. Even though the hotel is not […] near downtown, the shuttle service is extremely convenient and accommodating. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Love this place!"
I was nervous about staying here because of some of the other reviews, but I had a delightful time. The place is amazing and I loved being able to walk everywhere and find surprises around every corner. I did not find it difficult to navigate the place at all. It's logical. There is a wide range of prices for the food. What I had was expensive, but […] really delicious and the service was excellent. (In fact the service everywhere in the hotel was great.) There are menus out in front of all the restaurants with prices, so there are no surprises. The shops were fun to browse. My room was large, comfortable, clean and had a great view. I was truly sad to leave and had to take another walk around the place before I left. I would definitely recommend it and I would definitely stay there again. It is a very unique hotel. "I won't stay there again"
Ridiculous price for average rooms. Many parts of the hotel are gorgeous, but it is impossible to navigate with suitcase in tow. Have to walk a mile to get anywhere. Hidden fees such as $20 a day to SELF PARK on top of high room rates. Hidden fees such as RESORT FEE whether you use the facilities or not. Hotels.com said it was included in your rate […] but it was not. I will not stay there again. No way. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Retirement Disneyland"
Its a retirement Disneyland! Room was fine. Food was pretty average and overpriced.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is spectacular and the common areas are amazing, and very well maintained. The room I was in however was literally stinky (I had to buy Febreeze, which the hotel conveniently sells, and try to get some of the stench out). I was also not able to get the room type I booked and the receptionist's attitude was "tough luck." Too bad that the rooms […] in a hotel so gorgeous are in such poor shape. "Music City Hotel, lacks entertainment"
high end hotel, lovely shopping and dining areas, pricey but nice. Alot of walking, but lovely plantings throughout. I felt for the size of the hotel, they were short of coffee and breakfast areas. The shuttel bus service left alot to be desired, but all other aspects were good. The rooms were clean, staff throughout was pleasant. For Nashville to be […] "the music city", I would have liked to see more music in the hotel, there is entertainment, but you have to look for it and not as much as I would have expected. "Very Expensive place to stay for the value!"
I don't mind paying upscale prices for upscale places to stay, but this hotel left a lot to be desired. One of the restaurants within the facility absolutely sucked. Be prepared to pay $20 per person for a single breakfast. This is Nashville and NOT New York City! I will only stay there again should it be absolutely necessary. And, I live in Tennes […] see. "convenient Convention Location"
For a convention the location was good with rooms 5 minutes from the convention center. Since the flood the Mall next door is closed so there is very little else other than what is on site. Well maintained property with many restaurants on site (expensive). Hotel room was clean and comfortable but not worth the priceGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very nice, friendly staff, would stay again."
My husband and I stayed because of a business conference. Every employee we met was very helpful. Gaylord accommodates the small things people want like free internet, bottled water in you room. We enjoyed evening walks through the beautiful gardens, temperature regulated, no bugs! The food in the three restaurants that we dined in was wonderful. Beautiful […] hotel. "Amazing, romantic, fun place to stay"
Opryland is an amazing resort. It is attached to the convention center, and all 800,000 square feet are under an enclosed atrium, so we didn't ever have to deal with the oppressive heat while going from our rooms to the convention center or restaurants. The restaurants were outstanding, really fine food. It's obvious that the staff at this resort enjoys […] their job, and that translates into excellent customer service. The "jungle" of live plants and trees and the meandering river made this a truly romantic spot. It is easy to get lost but the maps are great and the staff jumps in to help. You will be amazed at this hotel. The finest I have ever seen. 9.5 acres of atriums with flowers, restaurants, ponds, fish, bars etc: You can walk for 45 minutes indoor through the three atriums for a great morning workout. Really have to se to believe. Great staff.Genuine Expedia guest review
