"Decent hotel for price"
The entry and lobby is the nicest thing about the hotel. Room we stayed in was old and damp smelling. Definitely in need of a remodel. Also a bad design for the suite as the sink was in the bedroom with both of the beds. Staff was attentive to our needs, but breakfast was overpriced for what you got on the buffet. Very happy we chose Doubletree. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. The front desk went above and beyond. The driver offered us a ride to Opryland Hotel instead of paying to park. He was fun and very courteous. Food was very good. I have to say the only thing I didn't care for was paying for breakfast. That really adds up when there are 3 of you. "black mold on the ceiling; water leaked into room"
We were placed in a room that had a previous water leak in the ceiling. The area in the ceiling hadn't been replaced; consequently, black mold developed in this area. It rained during the 1st night of our stay. We woke up to find a water leak from the one of the walls in the living area. The rain kept coming during the day and the water spot in the […] floor became bigger. Additionally, the spot of the previous water leak in the ceiling started to leak as well. We reported this to the staff. The staff placed us in another room. The hotel, as a whole, appears to be a decent place to stay but they should have never placed us or anyone in this room until they had addressed the issues with the ceiling and ensured there would be no chance of any water leaks. We were disappointed with our stay. They did not want to honor our reservation, which included breakfast, because they stated that hotels.com isn't supposed to offer that package. They gave it to us, but made us feel that we were in the wrong, even though we had a documented reservation including breakfast. "doubletree suites in nashville airport"
we had 3 adults and 1 child and booked a room, when we arrived they try to give us a room with 1 king size bed and a sleeper sofa. I refused this room and they sent us to a room on the 3rd floor with 2 double beds but when we got there and tried to unload our luggage we found someone else's luggage still there. We had to pack everything back up and […] head back to the lobby where we had to take the 1 king bed room as the hotel was completely booked. they tried to patch things with free breakfast coupons for everyone in our party. We tried to eat dinner the night before, and that was a disaster as the food is cooked in the basement and carried up to the sitting area. they would bring a meal at a time. we were there at 6 and all of our party still did not have all our food at 730. when we tried to eat the breakfast next day, the same thing, happened. It was a buffet, but some went through and got food and they ran out. It was over 20 minutes before they brought eggs, then the bacon disappeared. so when we got to the table the food was cold. "Doubletree Nashville (near airport)"
The check-in staff was somewhat rude. We had to ask where the elevator was, where to find our room, etc. After arriving in our room and discovering that though we booked the room for 6 people, we had only 3 towels, I tried repeatedly to call the "care line" only to be hung up on. They called me back to say that the phone in our room is broken, we can […] only hear them if they call us. Then we had to pick up the towels at the desk ourselves. The bathroom had a large crack in the ceiling above the bathtub and faucet in the tub ran constantly. The beds were clearly hastily made as we had to re-make them ourselves. The sheets kept pulling away from the mattress as they were the wrong size for the beds. We swam at the hotel pool for about 25 minutes before we discovered a wad of hair and a bloody bandage floating near the bottom. We opted not to eat the overpriced breakfast ($9.95 per person plus tax) and checked out very early as the beds were so uncomfortable that we slept only 5 hours before we had had enough. We enjoyed our stay at the Double Tree. The only problem we had was we needed extra towels and the house keeper said there was no more. We found out there was a problem with the washer and we received more the next morning. "Nashville Doubletree - Great deal for the area"
Warm cookies were ready for us when we arrived later in the evening and were a great treat! The room was spacious and clean, and we loved the seperate sleeping area. The pool was clean and they had very comfortable lounge chairs to sit in outside. The only downsides were the air could have been on a little higher in the lobby and public areas. Of course […] it was in the high 90's while we were there so they may have been doing the best that they could. I also required some help at the front desk to retrieve a document that I needed to print and they didn't seem overly helpful with directions on how to retrieve it. Also we needed some ice when we left but the machine was empty, again maybe just in such high demand with the heat they couldn't keep up. "Doubletree Guest Suite - Nashville"
This was our first stay at a DoubleTree property. While I don't expect that other DT properties have the same problem we encountered, our impression of this particular property was not good. The accommodations themselves are good: two rooms (bedroom with king size bed and attached bathroom, and a large living room area with desk, sofa and chairs, with […] a refrigerator, coffee maker, etc,). However, the bath tub/shower was not clean, with soap scum or other dark deposits on the sides. The soft in the living room had a LARGE tear along the seam on one side of a cushion, and was VERY visible to anyone.
