This was my second time staying at this particular DoubleTree. This week we had stayed at the Comfort Inn across town and the DoubleTree was a very welcome change after two days at the Comfort Inn. While you pay more for a room, it's a completely different experience and environment. Front desk staff was pleasant; manager on duty was great and struck up a conversation when he heard where we were from. Room and bathroom was spotless, and spacious. Free wi-fi is a HUGE plus. The hotel is in a great location. We arrived for a football game but the room price was outrageous. The room was average the bathroom was the size of a small closet and need major updates. The cost for the kind of hotel it was suppose to be was so ridiculous.

Our room was very nice. We stayed in an executive king room on the top floor. Loved the view. Mattress was a little firm and the sink was draining very slowly, but other than that it was great. Perfect location for downtown events.

Great hotel and staff with great amenities! We had a girls' weekend trip and wanted our hotel to be comfortable and quiet but convenient to all the nightlife and restaurants. . . .this one had it all! As other reviewers have said (on tripadvisor), the condition of the room is not what you expect from a DoubleTree. The wallpaper was peeling in our room; the latch on the bathroom door didn't catch, so you could close the door, but not lock it; and there was a wierd stain on the bathroom door (which I thought was gross, but didn't bother my friends […] at all). All of these are things I can (and did) live with for a weekend, especially considering that we paid less for a room than we would have at the Hampton Inn. Read more

We were very happy with the hotel, room was very clean and comfortable.We had the breakfast and lunch buffet and also a late night meal. All food was very good and reasonably priced. Our only complaint would be that the desk staff was not very helpful or knowledgeable about questions we had about getting around Nashville. Our overall stay was great the only problem we had was the air conditioning in our room. It wasn't keeping the room cool, very stuffy. The extras' to the room that was on the listing was not up to par. Some of the items was not on the list and was told if we wanted them we would have to moved to another room. Trouble in departing regarding the amount due for parking of a motorcycle. The people at the desk in departing were rude and not to me but to others. I requested a smoking king room and at check-in I got a smoking double room with no ashtrays. The room was very small. The staff was informative and responsive to my needs. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs a nice room in downtown Nashville.

Hotel was so pretty and clean. Stayed here for a girls weekend and we had a blast! They even found us an open restaurant after we came in at 3 am. They were so accommodating and was really close to all the nightlife, especially printers alley!

The actual hotel (lobby, bar, restaraunt area) was very nice and let me be clear that the staff couldn't be more friendly, however, the rooms left a lot to be desired. There were six of us and we had 3 rooms in all. Every one of them had issues. Our room was small. The bathroom had zero counter space (not exaggerating...zero) so even laying your toothpaste […] and toothbrush down was impossible. Also, there wasn't a vent in the bathroom. Taking a shower was suffocating and the ceiling was completely bubbled from the humidity. Another couple had only one DOUBLE bed in their room. This room was shaped like a trangle and extremely hard to move around in. No mini-fridge, bar, complimetary water, etc. for any of us. Not one to complain about little things, but for a huge dollar amount for two nights, I expected more. Would have much rather stayed at the Hilton for a little extra and have been closer to Broadway!
