Overall the experience was good at this Double Tree. The concierge was great and helped give us a good understanding of the city. She had some great recommendations and definitely hooked us up at BB Kings! Location was a short walk to Broadway and other desirable sports. No hot water in the shower Saturday and Sunday mornings was a bummer.

There were definite signs of aging, much like myself! But, the beds were great, the room was clean, which is, after all, much more important than new. The best part of the stay was the staff. Everyone was kind, helpful, and personable.

good location to the Ryman Auditoriun where we were headed. Bed was too soft resulting in backaches. Bathroom was in dire need of an upgrade. Dripping faucets and stained tubs and toilets. Usually Doubletrees are more updated. You do get cookies though!

We were in town for a concert and our stay at the Doubletree was very pleasant. It's convenient to everything downtown. A few complaints: we had planned to spend the afternoon relaxing by the indoor pool. The pool itself was very nice, but the room itself is COLD! There was cool air blowing from the vents and it was just generally chilly - not really […] what you want when you're planning to swim and relax! We went into the adjacent workout room to work up a sweat and get hot so that we could go in the pool. Note to management: a tropical atmosphere would be better appreciated in the pool area! Our other complaint is that the Starbucks in the lobby closed at 3.00 PM. We had spotted it earlier and had planned to have a great big decadent coffee drink after our pool time, to recharge for the concert that night. What a disappointment to find that it had closed for the day! I realize that this is probably a Starbucks issue and not a Doubletree one, however. Also note: hotel parking is not provided, and runs over $25 a night. Yes, you read that right. We parked in a garage nearby ($16/day.) We had a corner suite and the set up of the room was slightly awkward with the desk kind of pushed in a back corner of the room, but if you opened up all the curtains it was a wall of windows and you had a great view of Nashville so it was forgivable. The hotel is great and it is in a great location. However, this is the third time that I have booked there that they have messed up the reservation and told me at the front desk that they do not have the room I reserved. Fortunately this time, they upgraded us to the presidential suite, but it only had one bed. The room we originally booked had two […] beds. So I ended up sleeping on a foldout couch. The room was really small. There was no refrigerator or microwave or breakfast provided, which is standard even in a cut rate hotel. The shower curtain kept falling down and there were no handrails in the shower. Also, no bathtub. It was nice and attractive but not what I expected for the money or the brand.

Dane assisted us with our bags and very helpful and friendly. That goes with all of staff we came in comtact with. We stayed over a weekend and on sat night we had a room full of rowdy girls next to us who were yelling and screaming after they closed the bars. I was with my 4 yr old daughter and mother and while I can party with the best of them I would […] think they wouldn't have put these groups of girls next to a room with young child. We were awakw from 230 am until 340 am that night . Secondly I booked on hotels.com and seems we got a really small room (corner of ninth floor) which seemed really tight. Our room was very nice. We stayed in an executive king room on the top floor. Loved the view. Mattress was a little firm and the sink was draining very slowly, but other than that it was great. Perfect location for downtown events.

Loved the location! My friends and I didn't want to drive everywhere we went. Everything was within walking distance and what wasn't we used the shuttle service. we felt very safe! We were very happy with the hotel, room was very clean and comfortable.We had the breakfast and lunch buffet and also a late night meal. All food was very good and reasonably priced. Our only complaint would be that the desk staff was not very helpful or knowledgeable about questions we had about getting around Nashville. We stayed two nights in mid July. Arrived at 3:30 pm. Had 4 rooms booked and 2 were not ready. It was 35 minutes before all the rooms were available. The website states check-in time is 3:00 pm. The beds are very comfortable but the bathroom is very small in a standard 2 double bed room. When we reviewed our bills at check-out, we'd been charged for […] 2 extra parking spaces. Additional charges for parking are excessive at $24/day plus tips. This can add up quickly for an extended stay. The hotel should expect every guest will need parking & provide such accomodations at little or no additional cost. Hotel staff were friendly & helpful.

One would consider WHY? that when the hotel is highly booked during a holiday week, they would choose to work on the elevators. Of the four in the lobby, only two were working at any one time. Not the best of experiances.

Double Tree Nashville is in a great location within 6 blocks of walking to Music Row. It looks like a very flashy hotel from the outside to the front desk. The front desk service was short and quite frankly, impersonal and snooty. They make you sign a slip and charge you $50 for "assumed" spending on your part in their hotel. The valet service is also […] charged which is not listed in the price. The valet service was the most friendly personnel they had. The room looks nice until you see the shoddy workmanship in the bathroom which is the size of a postage stamp. Was one of the most cramped bathrooms I have ever experienced in a hotel. The rest of the room is ok, nothing frilly. Be careful with their WIFI. My son used it and picked up a virus on his computer using their system. The highlights of the stay was the cookie, the valet parking and location. Would I return, perhaps due to location, but Double Tree is not the image it tries to show. Read more

Location, location, location! Able to walk to many sites (museums, music and dining). I can't say enough about the staff. Hopefully you'll have "Ola' as your waitress at some point during your visit. The minute you walk out of your car the young men handling the luggage and vehicles at the front doors couldn't be nicer or more helpful. The room was clean when we arrived and the staff did a good job throughout our 3 night stay. The exercise room was perfect. The pool area was nice, but the floor seemed to be always wet. The pool could have been larger, that was the only negative and it wasn't really that negative, because it didn't stop us from playing and swimming. The public areas of the hotel are very nice. The room was clean. The bath was really small. Breakfast buffet offered a wide variety and all but the scrambled eggs were hot. Next time, I'll opt for the omelet station for my eggs. The hotel is located about 2 blocks from "Printer's Row".
