"The customer service was a joke"
The front desk person had a terrible attitude. She was harsh, defensive and rude to my wife and 18 month old as they checked in. I arrived later that night from a business meeting. I needed to get another set of keys. I gave her my license and she called the room at 11pm as my daughter slept. I asked her not to call. She said she didn't and she knows […] my daughter was up there. As I'm going up the elevator, my wife asked if I was there since the phone just rang. I had to get someone from our car so I dropped my to let her know she called the room. She said she did because she had to see the name on the room (which she lied about initially). "Over-priced"

"Nice hotel, horrible service!"
We arrived at 2pm, 1 hr early from the advertised check in. We were told they would call us when our room was ready. At 4pm we contacted the hotel and were left on hold for over 10 mins when we finally hung up. The proceeded to call us at 4:13 to tell us our room was ready, by this point there was a huge line for check-in. It was 5 pm by the time we […] had our key. Now we have driven 5.5 hrs we need to shower and get ready for the concert we came for, that started downtown at 7:30. Then we waited 20 mins for the shuttle (fine if the hotel hadn't made us late). Needless to say we had to just eat where we could be seated quickly instead of where we wanted and were rushed the entire time instead of leisurely enjoying ourselves. When we arrived the staff was rude, which I tired to write off since we were early but again, management was rude when we spoke to them about how late our room was, stating that check in was at 3 but didn't mean your room would be ready. I stated they should make that clear in their advertising when booking and paying for the room. Never once were they apologetic or polite. I could have had EXCELLENT service and a fair room and given 4 stars. Also everyone we spoke to from our hotel had the same problem so it's not like it was just a fluke, this is obviously a common occurrence and they could care less. "First time to Nashville"
We felt the front desk women that helped us was not very friendly. When we booked this trip it said we could receive a free buffet breakfast if we paid more so we did pay more. The staff seemed bothered by normal questions. Especially the morning staff. Saw one couple ask for suggestions for a good meal, and they were only given a map with listings. "Ick."
The hotel was extremely out of date, the bathroom flooded each time we used the shower, we received 5 bottles of conditioner and 1 shampoo for 3 days (not sure why...) the staff was not extremely friendly, and it is not walk-able to downtown like Expedia said it was. "kind of a letdown"
I expected alot more from a hotel like this one. As much as I liked the shuttle service to and from downtown, the rest of the stay was no better than what I'd expect from a $50 a night motor lodge. The place was clean enough, and the staff was nice. The bed was ok, but I've thrown away far better pillows than the ones in our room. "Dry blood on duvet"
In the first room we noticed two spots of dried blood on the duvet. The duvet was very old with no fluffiness, and prickly feathers poking through. We requested for a clean up while we ate at the bar. We came back two hours later to an untouched room. We were then moved to a new room on the ninth floor which was better than the original room. We went […] out for the evening and returned around midnight, only to a loud party with bass pounding through the ceiling. It turned out that the hotel's banquet/party room is located on the tenth floor. Through inquiry with the front desk, this party was scheduled to go on until 1:00 a.m. and there was nothing that could be done to reduce the noise level. The hotel staff offered free buffet breakfast the following morning for our troubles. The food lacked quality and everything was cold and dry. The muffin was as hard as a hockey puck and inedible. We spoke to management again and explained that the hotel seemed understaffed, and the overall experience was pretty poor. The manager told us that they were understaffed because it was a holiday weekend and we should understand that. However there was not a discounted holiday weekend price offered to guests staying at the hotel. We did end up receiving 1/2 the rate for one night but this did not make it worthwhile. "Not up to the standard of the Millennium brand"
I have stayed at numerous Millennium Hotels and this is by far the worst as far as physical conditions. My room had peeling wallpaper that had clearly been patched numerous times, dingy carpet, and wafer thin "down" comforter, pillows, and walls. The only great thing about this hotel was the close location to downtown. Otherwise, the room was not that clean, the bed was horribly uncomfortable, we had to call housekeeping for a shower curtain and most of the channels on the TV looked like they were using an antennae for reception. We were charged for making a local call,had to pay extra for a microwave and a very little fridgerator . The tv was messing up and we could not watch a movie. The bathroom door handle was on backwards so you could not lock anyone out of the bathroom , but instead you could lock them in the bathroom. "Disappointed, will be going elsewhere next time"
We arrived about 10 pm from overseas. We found the attitude of the Front Desk Supervisor very disappointing and negative. Firstly, I am sure we were promised on the original Expedia advert a complimentary breakfast. She informed me I was wrong, they don't do that. They advertised free shuttle service to anywhere within a 5 mile radius of the hotel, […] but when we requested a shuttle to a friends address (a hairdresser to do my hair for my vow renewal) within that radius we were informed they don't go there. I reminded her of their advertised service and was informed we only go to certain areas. She maintained a negative unhelpful attitude throughout - in the end she said she may be able to get one - couldn't guarantee it or time, and if we did get a driver we would have to tip him very well. She made me feel a nuisance - not welcome at all. I would suggest to the Management of Millennium, that her attitude will be costing them customers, and she should be transferred to another area. In fact, they would not return my phone calls. I called and left voicemails on two occasions to discuss the situation and talk through options - but no one would call me back. I am a business traveler so internet is critical. Their syste is messed up with a private provider and the front desk/management know this. The hotel condition and rooms are decent and clean. The hotel appears to be nice from the outside, but it is not very clean when one enters the room. Our room had hair in the shower and other places. When was the last time you stayed at a hotel with no internet? You will not have wireless internet at this hotel unless you pay them an extra $10 fee. This was one of the worse hotels I have ever stayed at. The room and bathroom were not clean. The beds were terrible. As a result, no one got a good nights sleep. The hotel needs a lot of TLC!!! The rooms are not the cleanest. The beds are too soft and springy. It's very noisy. When we got into our hotel room, we found hair on the bathroom floor and on our pillows and our sheets were stained. "Not A Four Star Hotel!"
Amenities were fine, and staff were polite and helpful. However, we were first checked into a room on a floor where there was major maintenance work going on, and the whole floor smelled strongly of industrial building products. We could have lived with that, but the room itself smelled musty, had stains on the bed sheets, and the phone didn't work.
