The house was beautiful! Everything was spotless and the check in process was very organized. The kids really enjoyed the pool and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out, with all of the comforts of home. We had no trouble getting into the gated community. The alarm for the home was either broken or just didn't work. They provided us a house with game room. However, the pool table had missing pool stick and one that was already broken! Hotel management wanted to charge us $95 to replace the pool sticks! My family did not use the pool table! The cleaning lady was very very rude! We were supposed to check out by 10am and the cleaning lady was there at 10:01am! "Fun in the Sun...Great Florida vacation home"
Overall we were very pleased with this home. It was very comfortable. It felt like home & beds were comfortable. The sofa's weren't as comfortable but it was adequate being we were only in the home in the evenings. The kids loved the pool and it's enclosed so that was great. We had a 5 bedroom home with 6 people and it was plenty roomy for us. There […] were 3 showers/4 bathrooms which was nice. The game room was warm being it was in the garage and no air conditioning in there. We did not use it. One downfall was you had to provide your own "supplies" meaning toilet paper, laundry soap, paper towels, etc. That was a bit hard being we weren't going to bring those items on the airplane so we had to buy them. The only other thing was it said no food or beverages on carpeted areas and the dining room had all carpet so we did not use it and had to use the smaller dining table in kitchen, which only had seating for 4. There must not be a noise ordinance as 1 night neighbors were loud all during the night. Each bedroom had it's own flat screen TV so that was nice for the kids to settle down before bed. It had a PS2 for the kids to play and that was very nice. There were also some DVD movies we could watch in the home, another nice thing. I would stay here again if we return to Florida! What a crazy place .. I stayed for a few days .we got only 1 towel for the whole family. One of the rules are that you are allowed to throw in the garbage cans outside of the house only 1 bag .if you put more. they take money from your c.c. On the weekends there is no one to talk to . unfortunately what could have been a relaxing weekend away, was very dissapointing thanks to the owner DeAnna. we drove 4 hours to get to the place to find it was in a completely different location to what i was told, the key to the door would not open and it broke inside of the lock, my grandma (83 years old) was not feeling well, and it was 10pm. […] there was no phone reception, when finally got signal and called the owner, didn't pick up. sent various emails and got no answer. we forced our way in to find in a folder information about the house, and it said that if the key was broken WE had to pay for it, and other things. it was super hot inside and the air was not working. on top of the AC controls it said that the air had to be kept at 85 F it not, the AC could break and WE would have to pay for it. unfortunately we were not able to enjoy our vacation the way we wanted and it was very dissapointed. AND we paid bfore going with one card, she said it charged but had to be with the nam of the person who reserved, so cancelled that and used another 1. she charged cleaning fee on both cards and it has been more than 1month and havent got my monay back and DeAnna (owner) wont calle and avoids my calls. Every thing about the place was good and as expected. Overall we had a very comfortable stay and all amenities were available in the villa assigned to us in Davenport. I was unimpressed with the home assignment process. I had no idea where the home was until the day before we left. I have rented lots of homes through other agencies and had not encountered this problem. If you want to know the bed layout or actual location, do not use this service. The email address in their website is wrong. I thought they had gone […] out of business. Expedia could not get them on the telephone either. I should have asked more questions upfront. The home was clean and easily accessed once we got the address. Garbage pickup was in the middle of our week and we had to pay extra to leave the end of the week trash. We had to buy all paper and cleaning products, including bath soap. There were about 3 small hotel bars, very little TP, some diswasher detergent and nothing else when we got there. The beds were miserable. Worst mattresses ever! And all the lightbulbs in the master were burned out. We just bought some because calling maintenance was just a recording at the agent's office. If you want a really cool home, the maximum AC setting was 77 degrees and the upstairs was hot at night. No ceiling fans in the bedrooms other than the master. It was convenient to the parks and to grocery stores. The garage was "upgraded" to an unairconditioned game room. So, we could not park our cars in there or really play in there either (too hot). Ok, so my wife and I plan a surprise trip to Disney World (first time there w/ our 7 and 8 year old girls). Find a villa on Expedia that looks reasonable, decent reviews, decent price, and we go for it... Upon arrival, we couldn't have been more pleased. House was clean, well decorated, roomy, and in a nice & newer community. The a/c wasn't working […] when we got there, but one call to the PM and within a half-hour all was taken care of. My girls had a great time at Disney, but a large part of their fun was coming back to the villa and going for a swim. Then, watching a little TV before the next daily adventure. Making lodging decisions always has some element of risk (especially if you've never been there before), but we hit a home run w/ Florida Vacation Villas.
