"Home Away From Home"
Wherever we travel in the U.S. we look for a Hampton Inn to stop at. We have never been disappointed. The standards are high, and we are assured that all the amenities are available. "Good Basic Hotel"
This hotel met all basic needs. The beds were comfortable, the rooms was clean and the hot breakfast buffet was delicious. However, luxurious, this wasn't. The bathroom had a tiny shower(really tiny), and a hairdryer that only operated if you held the "on" button down hard the whole time. Not a big deal, but my hand did start cramping after about 10 […] minutes. Also, after a shower, we had to wait about 10 minutes before we could put on make-up or dry our hair because there was no fan in the bathroom to defog the mirror. The hotel didn't have room service -- again, not a big deal, but we were there during a blizzard so it would have been helpful. Overall a good place to stay for a night or two. "Even better than what we expected!"
Upon arrival we received cookies, which was a nice touch and started our trip off to a fun start. Our room was spotless. Very well kept and comfortable. The staff was so courteous and friendly, and made us feel welcome. The lobby is beautiful and stylishly decorated, and is a nice spot for the free breakfast from 6-10 am. It included sausage, eggs, […] waffles, bagels, muffins, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, and beverages. We used the pool room, which is also very stylish and made us feel like we were in Florida. "Great family hotel"
The staff was awesome! It was very clean and the pool was awesome. The only disappointing part of the stay was the continental breakfast, there was no place to sit and enjoy way to many people at hotel could not get a coffee cup and by the time you got back up to your room everything was cold. "This stay was disappointing"
I've stayed in this hotel several times. In the past, when our room did not have a refrigerator, the hotel staff was always happy to store our few items in the hotel's refrigerator. This time, the man on desk duty informed us he could not allow us to put items in the hotel refrigerator and that they "never" permit guests to do this. He had a "can't-do" […] attitude that was terribly frustrating. He didn't care at all that we were faced with a problem. I had to upgrade to a suite to get refrigerator space. Also, the man at the desk was extremely condescending. Yes I'm a mom, who was checking in with my daughter, but I'm also a doctor and do not appreciate being talked down to. This hotel was not convenient to Cleveland, and there was serious rush hour traffic preventing easy access. The rooms had little if any noise insulation, and we were awakened during the night by talking in the halls and the ice machine. Check in clerk was very nice and helpful and recommended the IX Amusement Park in the area which was awesome!! The breakfast was better than expected. The pool was beautiful and clean. "Party Hardy Hotel"
So I reserved this hotel for 4 of my family members for a family reunion for 2 nights. At first glance everyone was please with the rooms and the amenities. So as the day turned to night, there was a partying beginning on the 4th floor. Eventually the party got out of hand and one of the party members decided to pull the fire alarm. as the customers […] exited from the floor, there was boose, random clothing and vomit all over. This included the stariwell to the ground level. Eventually the alarm ceased and everyone was allowed inside but this was at about 1am in the morning. On top of that, the following morning, there was a line of cars that were egged and vandalized. From what I gathered, there were a number of people that complained and demanded compensation for that night but only a few were able to get such (a $100 voucher). The rest was to suck it up. Now many may consider such a party at a nice hotel to just be a matter of coincidence. But the hotel clerk admitted that they were suspicious of that group in the first place!!! She even stated that this is not a first and that this similar event occurred only a week earlier. So I would not recommend this hotel (at least on the weekends) to those with children or older family members that actually need sleep at decent times. Rooms were really nice. Renovations being done, but thought the hotel staff was very accommodating and worked well around it. Good breakfast. "My Hampton Inn stay was most enjoyable!!"
Upon my arrival, I asked for ideas for delivery of food to the room for dinner. The front desk clerk provided me with several brochures of restaurants to call and have food delivered. Extremely clean room, we asked for more towels and they delivered them within 10 minutes of request, very quiet, bed linens were very clean and beds were quite comfortable, […] and we had a queen sized pull out sofa. Breakfast in the morning was served downstairs in a meeting room. They were currently renovating the downstairs lobby and lounge area. Breakfast was still as wonderful as always and the service was great. They were willing to help in any way. Upon my checkout, the front desk people were very courteous and helpful. This is one of the nicest motels in the Beachwood area and I have stayed at many of them. It is very clean, everything is in working order, there is a terrific breakfast free of charge and the rooms are comfortable and very quiet. "Chaos"
Around 10pm there was a false fire alarm and we were all had to leave our rooms. Around 1am there was a brawl on the 5th floor - when I called the front desk there was no answer for several calls. The front desk person that checked us in was very nice. We had planned to go out to the Olive Garden and was not familiar with the area. He printed out the directions for us and gave us a handout with other area places that may have been of interest for us. He was very personable with all the guests that came in the lobby. "Family Reunion"
Stayed here with 2 kids and several other family groups. Room was large (we went for the suite option) and had a kichen area. Pool was fantastic, breakfast was very large and well stocked, even on Sunday when it was a full crowd. They offered a snack shop as well.
