I always stay at Hilton hotels, so I am used to the way the should be run. This one was okay, but I've been to better. The staff was very friendly, but... not as efficient as I'm used to. The microwave was gross at breakfast, items kept running out, and they don't leave the cocoa and tea options out all day. Well, the tea was there but I was told by an employee that another employee loves the cocoa and usually takes it all for himself. Very unprofessional. I stayed two nights at the Hampton Inn Dadeland and was favorably impressed. Most hotel rooms are alike; much depends on the quality of the bed and shower. Both were excellent here. The staff was friendly and helpful, and helped me get everywhere I needed to go. The hotel seemed isolated, but was actually just a 5 minute walk from a subway station! The hotel was better than I expected. Especially liked the 24hr coffee and tea service. Breakfast offered a lot of different choices. Our room was very clean and comfortable and had a microvwave and refrigerator. Everything was great.

My hotel stay for the most part was as expected. We came up for some meetings and the location was ideal for our meetings and to get in some shopping. Unfortunately when it was time to leave, my transportation came for me and was waiting in the lobby and by the time we got to our car to leave it was broken into (very professionally I might add) and […] laptops, bags including shopping and passports/ids were stolen. This has left an overall bad taste of my experience. No one saw anything. O_o This isnt much of a public parking lot so the perpetrators were obviously staking out the parking lot. The hotel itself good use some upgrading, though, including the rooms, which are small, outdated, with old, low ceilings, & they are musty/ mildewy. Very happy with the hotel. On business in Miami, so don't know if it is close to attractions in Miami, but we did go to Bayshore for dinner, not far. Hotel was clean, good breakfast, and staff very friendly.
