"Great Location but, Just a room"
needs upgrading. Both lights on entry of room did not work, so I had to leave the door open and find one across the room. Bathtub would not drain properly so water covered my feet while taking a shower. No Lotion, no toothpaste, towels rough as sandpaper, no iron or ironing board. Hotel was cheap so didn't expect to much. Asked for 1 bed but got 2. Wasn't the cleanest, carpets stained, one of the lamps didn't work. People were nice. The carpet was stained, wet, and very dirty. I wore my socks instead of going bare-footed. After taking them off, they were so gross, I threw them away. Dead roach and tons of hair in the bathroom. "Disappointed"
When we arrived at the hotel, the four of us were very tired. We had been driving for over 19 hours in the car and we just wanted to go to sleep on a comfortable bed. When we saw the rooms we reserved, we were shocked. The bed was not standard, it was a full-size mattress. There was no couch or chair to sit on, hair from some other guest was left behind […] the toilet. We called hotel.com the next day and the hotel put us in two upgraded rooms for an additional cost difference. One with a king bed, the other with two double beds, but the rooms were still not satisfactory. Stains on the carpet and scotch tape adhered to the bottom dresser drawers. My boyfriend thought the room was a crime scene. The rooms and photos we were shown of the hotel on hotels.com were misleading. However, there customer service was excellent. "The Travel Lodge North Richland Hills - needs work"
I would not ever stay there again nor would I recommend this hotel to anyone. The mattresses were old. The pillows were flat. The sheets had stains on them. The floor had some type of hole under the carpet. The bathroom door had some nasty residue on it. I took my daughter there for a softball game the next day. Neither one of us slept well at all. "Giant roach crawled up my leg!!!"
The first room I was given smelled like mildew, there was no remote for the television, and the carpet was soaked. I went to the office to let them know about the smell and to see if I could get a remote. The clerk was very nice and apologetic and gave me two remotes to try. Neither one worked. It is ok if ya don't mind a small bed, a soft - and I mean SOFT bed!!! We had requested a fridge, mic and coffee maker in our room - none of which were there. Our phone didn't work so my husband walked down to the office to request coffee and report out phone not working. We left for supper and when we got back they had put the coffee maker in our room […] but the phone wasn't fixed. Breakfast was 2 kinds of cereal, bread (they have 2 toasters and both are broke), honey buns, apples (no bananas or oranges) coffee, apple juice and orange juice. This hotel is in a very convenient location, but is well past its need for upgrading. The bed and bedding were worn out, towels too. Although the room was reasonably clean, everything in it was worn out. TV had no sound. When I reported it to the front desk on Sunday, I was told maintenance would not be there until Monday.
