"Good, local weekend getaway"
This hotel is about 2 hours from our house and an easy drive/location to get to. We made a last minute reservation for the weekend to get away and it was a good choice. We arrived to a daunting line at the front desk to check-in (many weddings and functions), but was pleasantly surprised at how fast the front desk staff handled the line - impressive. […] The beach was beautiful, with excellent swimming and beach amenities (chairs for rent if you need them, but we brought our own). The two pools were clean and well-kept up, except for the guests who left trash and used towels around. We had an ocean front room, which was very spacious and clean, including two bunk beds with a little TV for kids. We brought our bikes and rode to dinner at the wharf area and around the resort. "Expensive"
My husband and i recently went to Hilton for our anniversary. It is very beauitful there everything is well kept and the rooms are very nice. We paid extra to have a room over lookin the ocean which was very nice in the evenings. The only down fall to our trip was they charge you for EVERYTHING!! "Nice Hotel on the Beach"
Pricey but you get what you pay for - this was a nice Hotel w/ good food (especially the breakfast buffet). Great for kids w/ 3 swimming pools and large beach area. "Not a Top Quality Hilton Resort"
There were renovations going on at the hotel during our stay which made the trip unpleasant. We were told that they would be working on the pool area, which since it was January was not an issue. The repairs started at 8 am and it sounded like there a jack hammer in our room until 6 pm at night. It was extremely disturbing since my husband and I were […] trying to have a relaxing weekend. When we complained, the hotel told us that there was nothing that they could do for us. We would have likes to be moved to a room further away from where they were working since we knew that the hotel was not at capacity. The hotel has the worst valet service ever. They charged us $20 per night. No one was ever there when we arrived at the hotel to park and we had to wait 10-15 minutes every time we needed our car to go somewhere. We tried to call down to have the car ready and they told us they would not do that for us. This was really annoying for a hotel that charges that much to use their valet service. The room was not up to Hilton standards. The rug was bunched up in three places so you tripped walking across the room, out to the patio and into the bathroom. the bathroom faucet dripped, the sink drain did not drain, and backed up.
