my husband and I stayed at this hotel in August 2012 and love all of the unique details. The saltwater rooftop pool the open-air Garden restaurant the fireplace rooftop lounge not to mention the beautiful Moroccan European feel of all the rooms. It was the perfect choice for the last two days of our honeymoon. However the only thing that made it not […] five star was the staff seems a little over taxed & understaffed they screwed up a specific request for table location for dinner so we ended up just having to wait a little longer in the lounge well be prepared the private cabana for us. Other than that everything was wonderful room service great breakfast every morning were amazing valets were prompt and friendly. However the front desk seems to be a little under staffed,as the phones Rang a lot before they could answer them Etc but I would definitely come back! Read more

We asked for the valet parking for both nights of our stay, bur ended up seeing our car left outside on the street one night instead of in the garage. The valet told us he got a request from the front desk saying that the guests (us) would need the car so just go ahead and pull the car out. THAT WAS A LIE, the only time we would call for services is […] when we need food! They pulled our car out so they could park the Bentley's in since it appeared to me there was a private party held at the rooftop that night. We requested an explanation, the front desk guy (a short Caucasian dude, should have jotted his name down and let it go public here) at first denied it and, of course, did not apologize. He even said "But your car is okay, no?". Eventually, he took off the parking fees. But HEY DUDE, IT IS FREE FOR STREET PARKING if that's where our car was at, what's the point paying you $32 a night for your garage parking? I should never have relied on the ratings provided by Hotels.com! They put us right next to the maids closet. ALL DAY AND NIGHT LONG they kept slamming the door. Mind you this was supposed to be a relaxing staycation. I called the front desk to please tell the maids not to slam that door. Of course, it continued all night long. I called them again and […] they said there is nothing they can do! What do you mean there's nothing you can do? The next morning when we checked out i reiterated by disappointment in the service and they said they will try better next time. Ya, there certainly wont be a next time. My wife and I loved this hotel. The decor is unique and the whole experience was wonderful. The location is great too. It's right between melrose and sunset. Walking distance from the whiskey, Viper room etc and lots of shopping on melrose. Yet it's in a quiet neighborhood. The rooftop bar and pool was great too. Highly recommended.

We had such a comfortable, peaceful stay and hope to stay here again when we go back to LA in a few months! The pool is small, but lovely and the chairs by the pool are very comfortable. I enjoyed reading my book in the afternoon. Petit Ermitage is one of the most wonderful hotels I have ever stayed in. The rooftop pool is spectacular, and the service throughout the hotel is top-notch. I absolutely plan to return there again, hopefully sooner than later. FANTASTIC!!

we stood here because the other reviews recommeded it but is very overrarted, front desk was very nice and professional.. the biggest let down was the pool area that everyone says is the best. It was overcrowded with tables that were not cleaned, the 360 veiws was not visible from all areas. Wonderful location. Roof top charming! Rooms good size. However, rooms are dark and plumbing (showers & sinks) is slow to drain. Parking is expensive $30 a night but roof top is memorable. If your room is not ready, a gratuitous drink awaits rooftop. Parking attendants are the best and management is thoughtful and courteous. Elevator key access is annoying […] but understandable. Wait for the 1 elevator (along with the waiters and bellmen, can be a problem). The facade is awful but what awaits is well worthwhile... Read more

Everything was great. The decor of the hotel is like no other hotel I've stayed at. Very nice staff and rooms. I wish I had brought my swim suit to go into the heated pool. If you go to this area I highly recommend this hotel. A five minute walk to Melrose.

Loved it! It had so much charm and the roof top pool service and scenery exceeded my expectations. If you stay here, don't expect Four Seasons "luxury". Since you are in West Hollywood you need a parking permit and can't get one unless you are a resident. The restaurant portion of the chicken dish I had was about the size of a half dollar. My wife and I stayed at Petit Ermitage for two nights on our honeymoon in early August. Upon check-in we mentioned how we were newly weds and 10 minutes later received a complementary bottle of champagne from the manager, which we then brought with us to the best part of the hotel...the roof top patio!! The only drawback was the valet parking. Which was a bit pricey, and if you are coming and going often adds up (tipping, if you do).
