"Stanky Inn"
I went to Savannah for the well known St. Patrick's day festivities in 2012. I had such a good time, I was eager to book my 2013 trip. I booked my stay with Extended Stay America 6 months in advance. Upon arrival on 03/15/13 at 4:30 p.m. (check-in was 3:00 p.m.) I notice there are 10 people in the lobby waiting with their luggage for their rooms, there […] is a line of 6 people in front of me, there is only 1 associate working the front desk and answering the phone, and it was hot and stinky in the lobby. I booked 2 rooms, 1 was smoking (my error) the other was non-smoking. I was told that 1 room was available so far for check-in and it would be about a 30 minute wait for the 2nd room. I go to the room which I expect to smell like cigarette smoke but it also smells like an illegal substance and an unidentifiable foul odor. The hotel was too busy to notify and there were no rooms to change out with. When we were able to check into the 2nd room several hours later there were black stains on the carpet and bedspread, black stains in the shower, and a dried, red stain on the bathroom floor. The stench was not as foul in this room but it was still present in the room, hallways, lobby, and stairwell. Also, I was never told that housekeeping does not come unless you stay there for at least 8 days. "Good Location....but needs "updating"!!!"
Hotel was located in a "GREAT" location, near many restaurants, mall, main streets, not far from the historic district. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly!! B-U-T, the hotel itself "needs a lot of updating"!!!! When we walked into our room (n/s room), it still had a "musty, stale" smell in it. The AC unit was barely working, at the end of […] our stay, the TV wouldn't work by means of the remote or directly by the TV....we had to just "unplug it" to make it go off. The water pressure in the bathroom sink was "very weak" and 'black stuff' was coming from around the sink's faucet. All in all, it was ok for a one night stay......but the hotel "REALLY NEEDS A MAKEOVER and UPDATING". Sorry!!! "Okay hotel if you just wanna sleep and shower"
Its located in an over all nice area close to shopping and 15 minute ride down abercorn to get to the historic district. Our only complaints really were the bed was as firm as they come and we are non-smokers expecting a non-smoking room and we got a non-smoking room that smelled of smoke and had ashtraysGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Extended Stay in Savannah"
First room the a/c broke within the first few minutes, but we just had to tell the front desk and were immediately given another room, they were very nice about it, very friendly staff, close to downtown Savannah, good location. Had a kitchen which was nice as well. No shampoo though so make sure to bring your own.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Extended Stay America - Decent for price"
Pros- Hotel is located 4 miles from Historic Savannah. Hotel was clean and worth the price. More then likely i will stay here again. Cons- Wouldn't allow me to check in till 3pm. This was the first hotel i stayed at that did not allow early check-in. You have to pay for the wireless internet, (its not expensive and the speed is excellent.)Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The room was perfect for a couple on a road trip that wanted a home cooked meal. The kitchen has all the necessities you need. The location is good if you have a car - just 10 minutes to downtown. I would seriously consider staying there the next time in Savannah.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
