"Dirty and Rude"
When we arrived at the hotel there was not a sign for Preachtree but for a Microtel. We had been traveling for a while and needed to use the restroom so my wife went into the hotel with our daughter while I double checked the address on the GPS. When my wife asked where the restroom were the attendant answered back that restrooms are for guest only. […] Once we realized this was the correct hotel we went to check in only to find that there would be an additional 7% charge for increased utilities. We said we weren't willing to pay and we were told we wouldn't have to this time. Once we entered the room we saw that there was hair everywhere. All over the beds, in the bathroom and all on the floor. How this could be misses by the cleaning person is beyond me. There was also a very foul odor in the room that smelled somewhat like Indian food (heavy curry). We decided not to stay and was refunded our money. "Never again"
For starters, the hotel is listed as Peachtree Inn & Suites, but if thats what you're looking for you will NEVER find it. The hotel is merely labeled as Microtel Inn & Suites. No Peachtree listed anywhere. The lady at the front desk when we checked in was incredibly friendly and very helpful, above average. They do indeed have an indoor pool, but it's […] very small. Those are the good qualities of the room. When we first went to find our room the door to a linen room was open and we could see employees eating in the linen room and the entire floor (even in our room) had an overpowering smell of curry. Upon entering our room we first noticed that both bedspreads had visible tears in them. The "continental breakfast" consisted of stale bagels and muffins, stale cereal, my daughter couldn't even eat it. The lady working the desk the morning of our checkout was very rude. "This hotel is actually a Microtel and is dirty"
I don't recommend this hotel. First, this hotel is actually a Microtel, not Peachtree Inn and Suites, so it was difficult to find. Secondly, we requested a non-smoking room, and it was a smoking room. Third, the whole second floor smelled like a swimming pool. Fourth, there were stains on the blanket that were clearly NOT from coffee, other beverages, […] or food. I would not recommend this hotel. Awful! Do not stay here unless you need to desperately save money. There were police cars present when we drove up. The outside looked decent, however, when we walked down the hall to our room, the wallpaper was pulled away from the way with a fan blowing at it to dry the wall. it stunk of mold everywhere! The people staying there were creepy. The room […] was okay, clean sheets and bathroom, but smelled. The customer service were elderly people and very friendly. The breakfast was seriously lacking. "Mean & Moldy"
All the desk clerks that we came across during our stay was very Rude. At check-in the lady was on the phone the whole time on a personal call, i assume it was personal because she said "i know how you like to get freaky"... We arrived at the room, found that the wall across the hall was torn down, sheets covering it, and carrying the horrific odor […] of Mold! I couldn't believe they even gave me and 3 kids this room! We did get another room on the above floor, the odor wasnt nearly as bad, but still smelt like rot. The cleaning crew seemed the happiest, although they were out in our hall at 7 am, and still there at 4pm.. The pool was so full of the wrong chemicals that the smell about knocked you out when you opened the door, funny, because the water was still dirty! The evening desk clerk sat at the breakfast tables the entire shift with her computer on facebook, her only retreat was to yell at guest that were not even being a problem or chain smoke. The breakfast consisted of stale cereal, stale bagels, stale muffins and your choice of a 2 ounce shot of coffee, apple juice or orange juice.. but no one can complain about a free breakfast. "Unpleasant Pit Stop"
The room pictures are old and do NOT reflect the present condition of the hotel. We pulled back the covers and saw a small "LIVING" bug on the pillow. We requested a room change and it was not any better. Hair was on the pillow and in the bed. Nice receptionist. Way understaffed. Shower Head screeched beyond painfully..reported to front desk , manager cleaned & didn't replace it. So next morning the same problem. "WARNING*****DO NOT STAY HERE WITHOUT HAZMAT SUITE"
I would not wish a stay in this hotel on my worst enemy!!! The building smelled of mold and mildew. It was offensive to all 5 senses. When I arrived the front desk employee, who was outside having a smoke break, snarls, "are you gonna need a room?" I replied with, "Yes, but I already have a paid reservation." She made an audible growl and hung her shoulders […] as if she were a child. After a grueling 45 minute check in I was tossed my room keys with a "here" and "park anywhere you want, your room is that way" with a wild arm gesture. After entering the room we noticed the sheets had cigarette burn holes even though I had paid for a smoke free room. The smell of the room clearly let me know it was not! The towels had what I hope and will only assume to be make-up stains on them. When I ask for clean ones I was told "I know I got them out of the clean stack!" I had to ask 4 times before I received clean-er towels. Not to mention, my entire family was kept awake until 3am from the neighbors in the next room and their "nightly activies". Yes, I complained and was told, "It's a hotel, what do you expect?" The one and only staffer I had any interaction with that night, was rude to me, my mother and my children. Unacceptable behavior and appalling amenities!!! Would have left and went somewhere else if not for the late hour we arrived (11pm). I did notify the morning staff of the events at checkout (7am). The place had a bad odor. I slept in my clothes. The pillow cases were dingy. It smelled as if the room had been closed up for months. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It needs a thorough cleaning. I considered losing my money for the two nights, but I decided I would rough it.
