"Close to downtown"
It was a great place. I was treated so nice. I loved the location because it was close to everything. The way the hotel is built where you feel like you are in a villa and not in the middle of town. loved the fact that there was a mall nearby. My biggest complaint is that they were unable to issue a key for the rooms during the time of my stay. Rooms were clean however a bit rundown. Need to do some upgrades on the rooms. Had to move rooms because heat was not working in first room. I have to say I was a little leary of booking this hotel after reading the reviews. I was pleasantly surprised after checking in. The room was clean and large. We had a room that was on the first floor and connected to the pool courtyard area (which would be great during the summer). the hotel was very nice,,,, foyer,,,breakfast area,,, courtyard,,,, and room were all nice. this motel doesn't have exterior doors to the rooms so you go in and out of the lobby, which could be considered as a plus in regards to security issues. the only drawback was the fact there was no fridge,microwave or coffee pot in the room, which was very surprising […] considering how upscale the room was. there was plenty of room for them and for just a little investment, it would have made for more convenience. no other complaints! "Okay for a couple of nights"
I just needed a room and another room for my son and his wife for a couple of nights. I wanted a room that was clean and without issues and we were able to achieve that for the most part. The first rooms we were assigned did not fit the bill but the next set of rooms were generally fine. The first set of rooms had mold growing on the walls. Not in the […] shower but on the walls, big black sections of mold. Quite smelly, and the sheets were stained with something black in color. So be sure to check in early and inspect your room right away. The person at the front desk was nice and switched our rooms quickly and the new rooms were fine. The air conditioner leaked in my son's room and made the carpet wet but we didn't notice that until the second day and that wasn't really too big of a deal. The continental breakfast left a lot to be desired. Stale bagels and danish with some juice and coffee, no fruit. They have a make your own waffle station but no syrup. Just butter to put on your waffle. How can you have a waffle with no syrup? Again, no big deal, there is a Denny's across the street. We just walked over and had a nice breakfast. The courtyard and pool area is nice. The whole place is starting to look like it needs a remodel though. Definitely starting to show some wear and tear. All in all it was okay for a two night stay. The bathroom ceiling and wall were completely molded, the bed had a huge brown spot on it, the linens on the bed were disgusting and permanently stained, every wall had a hole, scuff mark, or other blemishes. The hotel is overdue of a major renovation. No only is old,but also dirty. The carpets are so dirty, with many stains. The gardens are completely neglected full of weeds and cigarette butts. The worst breakfast ever. The orange juice was watery, the bagels were hard, even the waffles tasted bad. The front desk person was missing most of the time. This hotel looked great from the online pictures but beware. The sheets were damp on both beds from the air conditioners. The pillows had stains on them and there was hair on them and the beds. Room smelled like a perfume bottles had been broken in it, the air freshener was incrediably pungent, too the point of nausea. Had to go to walmart to buy pillows […] and sheets.
