"No sure to trust employee that work in hotel"
I was very happy when I had made my reservation at Vagabond Inn during my event. They commentate to my needs on checking early. When the time came that I had to check out there was no problem. I had notice when I arrive at my apartment I notice I was missing some item. I call the manager and mention that I had left some items. He said will check with […] the employee that clean the room to see if they had found the item. I know for fact that was the last place that i saw my charge for my phone, new shirt of Iron Girl hoodie, prescription glasses. It's Tuesday and I still haven't heard form the manager. "Okay for a good night's sleep."
Room was clean and okay. A little small. Stairwell dirty with trash. Hall rugs need cleaning. Breakfast could have been presented much better. Cereal and milk spilled on counters and Styrofoam everywhere, no fruit.. Not to appealing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
While waiting for the elevator, a teenager in a sport shirt jumped on when the door opened and a larger teen scrample out backwards and knocked me against the back wall of the hallway. He was very rude about my being in his way. Another teen closed the doors and took off in the elevator. It was several minutes waiting for it to return. My injury was […] minor, but I considered it a very big noisy distraction to have about a dozen teens storming around the hallways and playing in the elevator. "Filthiest "Hotel" I've Ever Stayed In"
When I first arrived at the place to check in, there was a customer complaining that half of his TV channels didn't work. The rude staff simply gave him the cold shoulder and told him that there was nothing they could do about it. They didn't even attempt to fix the problem, and they acted as if they didn't care about their customers. At that point, […] I knew I picked the wrong place to stay. As I walked to find my room, I can smell a strong odor of marijuana in the hallway. When I got to my room, I found that one of the towels have black spots on, and there were empty soaps and shampoo bottles left over by the last occupant. The carpet was dirty looking, and the blanket on the bed has a big hole in it. I felt like I was going to get bedbugs from sleeping in the bed. The TV they had in the room was the old boxy ones from the 1990's, and they did not even have a refrigerator in the room. You get what you pay for. If you plan on spending a lot of time at the hotel to relax, then I suggest you spend a little more money on a better hotel. But if you are on a budget and booked the hotel only for sleeping at night after your day activities, then this place is a viable option. Don't expect much though because you will be disappointed. first night was terrible! room had no coffee maker, no hangers, double bed instead of queen, tv remote didn't work and carpet was loose and had big ridge in it that we tripped over several times. room for next two nights was fine. definitely under-staffed. front desk man said he worked 12 hour days, 5 days per week. we will plan to stay at the sandman […] in the future. "Nice place but misleading"
I booked a room in this hotel several nights this past week. And the rooms were far from consistent. It said in the premium queen rooms there would fridge, microwave, etc. 1st night yes, 2nd night no. And when I asked the front desk he was pretty rude and less than accommodating.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Stay for business in city"
This is an older hotel with only minor maintanance. The exterion is pleasant. The enterance look nice. But the hall and room we were in is small. The room had an odor about it that was unpleasant. We bought a room deordorizer to freshen up the air. It helped some. The staff seemed limited. The person at the desk seemed to be the only one to help the […] guests. I think if the owners would put some effort into this place it could be a great place to stay. The so called breakfast was megar to say the anything. No fruit, no eggs, no bacon, limited juice, the milk was fresh, limited cereal selection, some sweat rolls. The place does have a swimming pool that looked OK. I asked for a no smoking room and the sign on the door said no smoking but the room smelled like sausage stuffed in an ashtray in a dead man's pocket. The place was full and we were unable to change rooms. Won't e coming back.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Tiny, Old, Expensive!"
I booked a "Premium" room with two beds, thinking it would be comfortable for my friend and I for an overnight stay (we were up in Santa Rosa for the Healdsburg Guitar Festival). Here's a list of issues we encountered: 1. We booked a non-smoking room, however, in order to get to our room on the second floor, we had to run the gauntlet of the smoke-filled […] stairways (they were all the same, stinky!) 2. The room was tiny, with only just enough space to get between the end of the beds and the furniture. 3. The beds were twin size at best. I'm sure they were described as queen. 4. The bathroom was tiny, with a kid-size round (not elongated) toilet. 5. The bathroom fan did not work. 6. The tiny sink was OUTSIDE the bathroom, yes, in the bedroom, immediately adjacent to the door of the room, tucked into the corner by the bathroom door. Horrible. 7. The towels were tiny - about 18" x 36". Useless. Overall, we were not very happy with the room/facilities. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Remember you get what you pay for. . ."
We reached the hotel in the early evening after a day of driving. . . The first thing I did after checking in and getting the luggage to the room is lay down on the bed. My face hit the comforter and all I could smell was another person's B.O. - so gross!!! The front desk receptionist was polite and apologized about the incident. He immediately changed […] us to another room, which was actually an upgrade. The room was, clean and had a nice view. "would not stay there again"
The lady at the front desk was as rude as someone could be. This really turned us off to ever staying there, ever again. By the time we were able to check in she never even told us about the free breakfast, even though we knew about it and were not going to be using it. She also told us we booked a double bed which I showed her our booking arrangements […] were a queen, and she still argued with us. My room had a bad smell to it that wouldn't go away even with the window open for most of the day & night. I stayed here several years ago & it's really gone down hill since then. No business center. First impression as we pulled up...was the site of two police cars. The woman at the front desk was short with us...now I give her the benefit of the doubt that maybe what had transpired shook her up a bit. Our bedroom was a larger one, no microwave, refrigerator, or coffee maker. The bathroom looked recently remodeled but they made shortcuts. Our carpeting […] had a big bulge in it that we tripped over. The carpet was disgusting in the hallway. If I did not pay for this already, I would have left. The staff was not friendly and helpful. The room has smell when you get in. The hotel was noisy that you can hear whatever was going on next door. The breakfast run out and was not replaced.Genuine Expedia guest review
This place is very basic - you get a very cramped room that's decently clean. Staff isn't friendly or unfriendly -- they just don't care. There is a continental breakfast with just enough things to claim that you serve breakfast -- no more no less. There any many other places in the area where management and staff care more that I'd rather visit.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Okay if you like pot and noisy staircases..."
Entire third floor smells like pot. Stairway smells like cigarettes. Stomping up and down the stairs all night long. I brought earplugs and slept okay, but other members of my party were miserable. I reserved a King/Dbl room and it took 15+ minutes for the front desk lady (who was admittedly pretty nice) to finally get us into a new room.Genuine Expedia guest review
This was an inexpensive hotel that I thought for one night it would be OK. Hotel is externally clean with very helpful and pleasant staff. The room was not big, but was adequate. The problem we had was the sewage smell in the room. There wasn't any place leaking or smell in the bathroom. I think at one point there was an issue and the carpet got wet. […] We slept with the window open to keep the smell down. Sheets and Towels were all clean, but that smell made us all worried for the overall cleanness. "Skip this place. Won't come back."
This hotel is too expensive for the quality. It's a 40 dollar a night hotel at best and they charge twice that. Room was fine, CRT tv, fridge, closet, three half sized pillows. The morning desk clerk seemed a little put off that I was bothering her so early in the morning(9:45). I asked when breakfast ended(9:30). She pointed me to the coffee in the […] lobby. It was dirty. They must not clean the coffee urns regularly. The next morning I made it to breakfast. Had the regular types of food, tiny bagels, oatmeal, english muffins, and cereal. The coffee was not full of chunks of old dried coffee but was too watery to drink. The side security entrance of the hotel was pretty much propped open all day and night with a stand up ash tray. I saw a few vagrants in the parking lot during my two day visit. The maid service cleaned the bathroom, changed the towels and emptied the garbage but did not make the bed. Not a big deal but just a little odd. This place reminded me of one of those hotels where local teens go and party on the weekends. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I definitely wish I would have paid a little extra for something better. There was hair on the bed sheets and blankets, the hallway for the non-smoking room reeked like smoke and the pillows on the bed were half the size of standard, normal pillows. "Ok in a pinch"
We called ahead of time to see if our room would be available before the 3pm stated check in time. We wanted to quickly change into our party clothes for our friends wedding. We arrived at the hotel at 2:50 and the room wasn't ready. Slightly disappointed but no biggie- we changed in the breakfast room bathroom and were on our way. After the wedding […] we finally checked into our room at 3am. The guy who checked us in was less than friendly. Also there were 2 sketchy guys urinating outside the lobby doors when we walked in. Our room had 2 double beds, not the one queen bed I booked. Also, there were no cups (plastic or otherwise) in the room. I guess housekeeping forgot. Overall, the motel served its purpose, but I won't be back. Lesson learned-I should have booked a different hotel earlier since Oct in wine country is busy season!
