We enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Sonoma! Check-in what swift, curteous and friendly. This set the stage. We will stay here again on our way back from Eureka,CA. Dinner was absolutely delicious. My husband and I stayed in this hotel over a long weekend break. We were very happy with the location of the hotel, close to downtown Santa Rosa for restaurants as well as the wine country. I was very disappointed when I walked into my room with a messy slept in bed and towels all over the floor. When I called the front desk they moved us right away to the room next door. The bed was really comfortable and the grounds were beautiful. The speedy check out instructions to use from your room was not accurate and had us trying to use our room […] phone instead of the TV. Located close to the freeway and off the same street as extended stay and fountaingrove inn. We stayed here so we wouldn't have to pay the ridiculous prices that places like napa and calistoga charge. The Hilton was close to perfect. We arrived to this hotel after dinner. The staff were irritable and not very friendly or helpful when directing us to our room. They basically threw the map in front of us, pointed to the room and gave us a good luck kind of attitude. The room had two queen sizes beds (we preferred a king on hotels.com and everyone else was able to accommodate us. The […] room was decent enough to stay in overnight. It was clean and very basic, I think I got more for less money in the city. The one elevator in our building barely worked - it would have closed right on me if i had not jumped back fast enough then it trapped my husband inside for a few minutes. I got the impression from the staff who were around that they would have preferred us to walk our luggage up the steps, but we had 2+ bags a piece. As I said, we were late so we weren't going to bicker with the rude staff when were going to get up and check out in the morning. I would definitely not stay here again. Read more

The Hilton Sonoma Wine Country is lovely and well maintained. However there seems not to be any soundproofing whatsoever between the floors. We could hear every footstep in the room above ours - loudly - as well as bathroom noises including the thump of the mop as the it was cleaned. We stayed for 2 night and found the hotel to meet all our expectations. The room was large and very comfortable. The pool area was great for relaxing after a day of visiting wineries. The location was central to a lot of the wineries we wanted to visit. It's a bit far from Sonoma if you want to spend any time there, but it was nice to be closert to […] the Russain River Valley, etc. My only complaint would be some of the maintenance that was going on around the hotel at the time of our stay. While I know this is necessary for upkeep, it's not pleasant to have to see it while you are there. There were a few painting projects around the grounds and some of the lanais were being pressure washed while we were at the pool. This was quite loud and deterred from our relaxation. Very nice Hotel!!! Loved the coffee maker! I would have liked to have an extra mirror in the room on a wall with an outlet nearby for doing make-up and hair so my husband could have been able to get into the bathroom sooner to shower. The bedding was plush and the bed comfortable. Restaurant was a bit pricey, though.

Convenient location to wineries. And especially to beautiful town of Santa Rosa. Easy parking and great town to walk around. Lots of restaurants in downtown area. Pool and hot tub were great under the stars after a long day of traveling!
