"Showing some wear"
We stayed there 2 years ago, and compared to our first stay there, it is showing quite a bit of wear. The staff went our of their way to make our stay pleasant. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable but this is not the place to stay if you're looking for a good night's sleep. We stayed on a saturday night and the proximity to bars/restaurants is perfect but once they close the yelling and squad cars on the streets is easily heard in the room. My wife and I stayed at The Tazewell for the valentine weekend. The hotel is in walking distance from resteraunts,bars and the Spirit of Norfolk for which we took a dinner cruise.
