This has to be THE MOST ACCOMMODATING hotel we have stayed at in quite some time, which makes up for the location being somewhat noisy. "Hard Bed and a Breakfast that's NOT so Continental"
My back hurt the next day after sleeping on the mattress, but some people like a firmer mattress; I don't. The breakfast was a little confusing. "Hilton Hotel - Scotts Valley, CA"
This was a special night for me. We had paid for a King Room with a balcony. Since we were going to arrive late, I called and confirmed our reservation with the front desk and let them know that we would be arriving late. When we arrived there was no King Room with a balcony. "Fantastic option for staying near Santa Cruz"
Tucked away in the hillside, this hotel in Scott's Valley is a great choice for anyone visiting the Santa Cruz area but not interested in fighting a flood of tourists and traffic for a place to sleep. The bathroom was large, with the toilet positioned away from the bathtub; a welcome change from every other place I've recently stayed. The bed and pillows were fantastic as well. The Scott's Valley area is a great alternative to Santa Cruz for general eating and shopping; everything is easy to get to, and the hotel provides a handy guide with directions for dozens of eateries and attractions. "Not worth a return"
Maybe I'm nit-picky, but it seems to me the a hotel that won't let let you check in until 3pm, shouldn't have hosekeeping carts in the hallways cleaning roooms at 8pm. The carts, garbage bags, roll away beds, and roomservice dinner trays crowded the indoor halls, like a maze. We were also constantly waiting on staff to get out of elevators with their […] carts, a problem easily solved by having a storage room on each floor. The front desk put me on hold, and wouldn't answser my return call after I hung up tired of waiting for easy checkout. Outdoor Jacuzzi/Pool area is relatively big and in a nice setting (except for view of parking lot - suggestion for hotel management: put up dividers).
