The whole hotel has been updated, I would never have guessed that it was a LaQuinta. Modern art deco look in the lobby & updated rooms containing simple elegant artwork, flat screen tvs, comfortable down comforters & soft clean towels. "Excellent hotel!"
This hotel is brand new and still looks it (10/16/11). We tend to stay at La Quinta's frequently as we've been traveling with our two dogs. They are very pet friendly and don't charge anything additional for pets to stay. This hotel was very nicely done, modern but comfy. Definitely the nicest La Quinta we've stayed at to date. Hotel staff was very […] friendly. The immediate area is mostly industrial/business but this hotel was very close to our planned activities, the state fair and Dallas World Aquarium. My only complaint was that our door didn't actually lock from the outside. I happened to check the door when we were leaving and was able to open it without a key! That definitely made me a little uneasy with leaving the room. I notified the front desk but maintenance never came before we checked out the next morning. They said they would take care of it, hopefully they do! Breakfast was fairly standard. Make your own waffles, cereal and breads, some fruit, yoghurt, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, and sausage. Nothing special but definitely did the trick both mornings. This hotel was a great room and in a great location for the price!
