I can't say enough good about the Aloft. We did short 3 night stay last week. Loved the historic building and the modern colors and furnishings. Parking... was easy and only $10.00 per night, compared to others in downtown. The location is AWESOME. You can walk to many restaurants, bars and sight seeing. You are blocks from I-35 ramp. My only thought when I first entered the room is: The rooms appear bigger in the pictures. It's a Boutique Hotel and it is definitely a welcomed change if you stay in allot of 4 star and up Hotels. The room was so unique and so comfortable that I felt like I was at home and not at a hotel. Checking in and finding out a music festival was going on was an awesome surprise! The Hotel was very nice and romantic for my husband and I, we spent our anniversary their. The only thing, was the hot water because it's an older building. We had to cut the sink on for the shower to get hot but it was a really nice hotel. The hot water is nothing major just a little step backwards

the cleaning lady was vacuuming at 8am in the hallway...woke me up after a late night and I was sick w a head cold needing every minute of sleep I could get. I was grumpppppppy that morning but couldnt bother to complain.

Our suite was comfortable and stylish. However, the hotel may be a little too ahead of the curve in some aspects. We didn't find the ironing board until our last morning there, and we never did find the ice machine (there was an ice bucket in the room). Also, it seemed to me they should do a little more marketing in the room as far as what the hotel […] offers, nearby restaurants and attractions. There wasn't a phonebook or any sort of directory in the room, but thankfully we had our phones to search online for nearby restaurants and such. Everything was amazing from location, decor, amenities, etc. They were even able to accommodate and reserve a room with a nice view and an early check-in. I explained that I was suprising my husband (who was coming back from deployment) and I needed to drop off our belongings to the room before I picked him up from the airport.
