The hotel was perfect for my needs. The room had huge windows flooding the room with light and the view was spectacular. I had a corner room with two queen beds. I was surprised, and pleased, with the large amount of square footage.The bathroom was well designed with ample space. I stayed here for 3 nights when attending a conference at the DCC. I thought the hotel was really cute - very industrial modern. My room was large and the bed was comfortable. The downstairs lounge is a great place for happy hour! Free wifi is a major plus, and the staff was very nice. The hotel is easy walking distance to restaurants. I only have two […] complaints: 1) The hot breakfast food was terrible. The eggs must have been powdered and were the worst scrambled eggs I've ever had. We went to a Stars Hockey game and we walked to the arena from the hotel. Other than the cheerleading competition going on it was a great stay. Lol. The light fixture in our bathroom was hanging down but it was not a big deal the room was awesome. Love the non-smoking policy!!!

The put us in wrong room Bc they were booked despite us booking prior then miraculously had another open room like we'd first requested. That room had a broken toilet and rude staff when we called to let them know. Will not stay at that Aloft again. Terrible lighting and no mirrors. It is a very modern hotel. We like the modern shower as oppose to a tub. Free pool in the lobby and we have a lot of fun. It is walking distance to a few attractions.

I like the hotel atmosphere and urban loft style. The bar and lobby is fun. My only complaints were that the refrigerator in the room did not work and the beds and pillows were subpar. The pillows were very thin and the bed was not as comforatble as I would have expected in a hotel that is run by the W chain.

Aloft is a fun, trendy hotel - So glad to see a lobby and a room where every design element wasn't ordered out of the same hotel supply catalog as every other hotel. Loved that the bed wasn't up against the neighbor's wall. Great bar and staff. It was New Years Eve, the hotel was packed, and still the staff was attentive and the hotel was clean.

I booked a stay at Aloft Dallas Downtown through a third-party website based on the rate and a few reviews I read, however, I had no idea I would be staying at one of the greatest hotels I have ever stayed in. The room is laid out nicely, the king size bed was fantastically comfortable. I have seen reviews that said the pillows were not comfortable, […] we did not seem to have that problem. The room had a large flat-screen TV and a mini fridge. The shower is huge and the warm water was quick to arrive. There were two desks that looked out the window, making it ideal for young professionals on business. This basic room felt like a suite. I mentioned earlier that the staff was terrific and I have to say it again, they offered wonderful recommendations for food and entertainment. On the second night we decided to just head back to the hotel to change for dinner, when we walked in we were shocked to find a live music performance in the lounge area. Clayton Gardner performed a great set and we ended up staying and just eating dinner there. The food was great, the service was good, and the whole experience was terrific. We made friends with some business people in town for a convention, played some pool on the free pool table, and had some well-crafted cocktails from the bartenders. I can't recommend Aloft Dallas Downtown enough, our experience in Dallas would not have been as good had we stayed anywhere else. Read more

We stayed here for New Year's Eve. Our event was actually at the Omni hotel which was conveniently located two blocks away. So, we were able to walk to the other hotel. Aloft was a unique hotel. It was clean and the staff were friendly. This was a great location, near lots of restaurants within walking distance.

Great room, location, and friendly staff. BUT was told there was 24 hour parking available but was not told there was an attached fee. Could have parked overnight on the street for free. Don't mind fees but do mind them not being explained fully and informed of in advance. Don't like hidden fees.

Sitting room was dark upon entering - lamps weren't linked to the lightswitch. One of the lights over the 2nd queen bed was burned out. No restaurant or room service. Snack area downstairs or bar only. Concrete ceiling looked like a repair had been made at one time but was not uniform in appearance with cracks & chips visible. The air in the dressing […] area & bath was much warmer than in the bedroom area even when thermostat set to a cooler setting. The rooms were very spacious & adequate. I'm a frequent traveler and this is a good hotel. Thoughtfully laid out, comfortable, convenient. Blackout drapes, nice bathroom, comfortable bedding, spacious room. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the closet (weirdly laid out and not easy to use). This is an old warehouse building so everything is "loft" style. There are a lot of pros and cons to this hotel. The staff is nice and professional. However, the pricing seems weird. Our first stay at this hotel was during the holiday season. We got a huge room with a great view for a good price. Our second time staying we figured it would be cheaper than the holiday season, but ended up paying a lot more and got […] a smaller room that wasn't half as nice with a view of parking garages. After booking, we found out that there was another hotel close by with a higher rating that was charging less too. The room we got looked clean, but had a stale, gross smell to it. After awhile the bed hurt our backs. The pillows are soft but then flatten out pretty quick. You can't turn on the light above the bathroom sink & mirror without turning on the light to the whole room & the shades still let bright light in around the edges. However, the air conditioning is nice and quiet, they don't charge as much for parking as other hotels in the area, the toiletries they provide are great and the service is good. This is a good place to stay one night, but not for any longer than that. Overall, I'd say the experience was middle of the road. I'm not convinced the price was justified. Read more
