Hotel was nice and not crowded. I definately wasn't excpecting a full kitchen with dishes, which was a pleasant surprise. "Dallas Business"
This is a wonderful place to stay but not at normal rates. The constructin on 635is brutal and directly in front of the property. There is only one way in or out along one feeder lane with no shoulders and concrete barricades. This place is extremely hard to find at night as there are no streetlights. I missed it the first time and had to make a u-turn. […] The other side of the freeway is even worse! I had to go past two more exits before i could make another u-turn. That being said, I got a discounted rate which made up for the construction inconvenience. The staff was friendly, especially Jessica! Room was nice and functional. Hotel staff very friendly/helpful. Room was quiet, clean, comfortable. However, the horrible, never ending road construction on 635 put a damper on our stay. "Very nice room"
We only stayed for one night. It was on the side of the highway, but we did not here any noise. The room was very nice, very clean. It would have been perfect for a longer stay. The breakfast was great, the area where you eat is nice. I would stay here again. Have stayed several times and found it very comfortable. Our stay 9/8-9/11 was interrupted with a carpet/furniture shampoo in the middle of our visit....damp carpet and a 1 yr. old was not a comfortable combination. "Friendly Staff"
All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They certainly made the effort making sure hotel guests feel welcomed. The room size was spacious, and the couch was so comfortable I actually took a nice nap watching TV. The hotel is walking distance to Benihana (from the back gate of the hotel). This hotel is off the freeway on a one way street, but that is the case with most hotels in Texas. It's not the newest RI, but it's nice. It has a small pool which is great in the heat. "Musty room, door lock broken"
I like this hotel. We have stayed in it twice before. The location, quietness, and price is excellent. The Texas Belgian waffles are super fun, too. This time our room was a two bedroom suite on the first floor. The room smelled strongly like mildew, and there was something wrong with the door lock. The deadbolt stuck out when you tried to close the […] door, and the lever for the deadbolt did not seem to be attached. We could get it to retract if we put the key in as we left the room , but it was a bit annoying. We really like the full kitchen, and separate bedroom with a door. This is a conveniently located Residence Inn, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the make it easy and free to print your boarding pass, the breakfast encompasses most everything most business travelers want (and the children were loving the waffles) and for the most part it was very clean. If my carpet had been as clean as the rest of my rooms, […] it would have been perfect but I'm always barefoot in a hotel/motel room and I was positively sticking to this carpet so that I had to keep my shoes on at all times. "Residence Inn Dallas- a perfect family place"
We chose to stay at this hotel because of the kitchenette in the room, but we hardly ever used it because believe it or not, not only did they provide an amazing breakfast, and I'm not just talking about yogurt and a doughnut, but they also provided dinner Monday through Wednesday. Yes, that's right, a free dinner to hotel guests. Obviously it wasn't […] sirloin steak and baked potatoes, but with two little kids, there was a night of meatball subs, another of hamburgers, and finally a night of pizza and soft pretzels. This was perfect. I have never been to a hotel where the staff was so friendly and catered to ever need we had. When I asked where the closest movie theater was, I received three different options, when we needed new bedding for the pull out couch, not only was in the room within a half hour, it was also made and my kids stuffed animals were placed on their pillows just like at home. The two room layout was nice for the kids to be able to go to sleep and for my husband and me to watch TV without disrupting them. The pool was a perfect size for my 5 and 3 year old, as well as providing a nice, relaxing place for the adults, and it was clean and warm. Overall it was an amazing stay. My only negative comment would be that I am a runner, and even though there was a bike path just a few minutes away, there was no sidewalk in front of the hotel to run on to get here, so I was running in the grass or on a fairly busy street.
