Hotel staff (maid service) thought we were checking out and disposed of several items which were clearly not to be tossed. Management said to make list for reimbursement. This hotel is in such a perfect location right by the Galleria mall. We are originally from Dallas and now live elsewhere but thought it would be fun to stay in Dallas for New Years. "People and pet friendly"

I thought this hotel overall was ok/good for the price. I actually liked the decor a lot. i think for how much i paid for the room, it was a great deal. The hotel was clean but, it had some black marks around the walls and stains in some places. One of our rooms smelled strongly of smoke. We had to call twice to get extra towels and etc. after waiting […] for an hour. The elevator had a weird smell and the wait was always long to get on/off. This hotel is amazing. I wish i could live in the awesome room I was staying in. The bed is super comfortable, food was awesome, and most of the staff was nice - one of the Valets was a little rude as was the front desk, but Andrew in Room Service and Beth at the bar totally made up for it by being so incredibly nice and giving great customer service. We loved the hotel, the ambiance, and the hotel location! I especially loved the amount of space given! However there were two things that I would have changed. 1. The room location. We were near the elevators and we could hear the motor hum throughout the night. I think one previous review thought it was vacuuming but we figured out it was the elevator. […] I would suggest requesting a room away from the elevators. 2. Although we choose a non-smoking room, a previous tenant decided to smoke in the bathroom. Except for a gliche initially check-in, nothing but good things about this hotel. Rooms are roomy, modern decor and clean - nice layout. The cloth headboards were a bit stained but overall clean. The lobby is very swanky but kid friendly. Wireless internet didn't always work but the business center always had a computer avaible to check emails and mapquest.
