"Friendly staff, large rooms, good price"
I was at the hotel this past weekend, the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating from the moment we got there. We were a few hours early for check in so they stored our luggage and let us take the shuttle to brunch. Coming from Chicago we were used to walking- so it is about a 10 min walk to the free trolley to Uptown and the art museum and […] 25 min walk to downtown. The shuttle will also drop you off anywhere within 5 miles. If you are not into walking others may find it is a bit far to get to shopping/ walking areas. Rooms are large with comfy beds and a nice couch / sitting area. Kitchen with full fridge is also great. Overall it was a steal for price we paid. Nothing lavish but all the necessities. Great for an extended stay, full kitchen, living room and bedroom. Secured parking and a ten minute walk to the American Airlines arena. Sparse food choices around within walking distance. Bathtub did NOT drain and was disgusting because of that. Free breakfast and evening snack. Close to Dallas downtown attractions and major freeways. "Mav fans delight"
The hotel was perfect for going to a Mavs game. There are no restaurants to walk to but West End is not far away. We walked to the game and didn't have to hassle with game parking or traffic. I really enjoyed my stay here at the Hyatt Summerfield Suites in Uptown. The front desk was very pleasant and helpful and very receptive to any questions we had. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Anything you ever needed was within five miles radius and a free Hyatt shuttle would take you and pick you up from anywhere! If you want a hotel within walking distance of the American Airlines Center, this is the place for you. Rooms are more than spacious, they have a shutttle that will take you almost anywhere, the breakfast is a full breakfast and the staff is wonderful. The location is great, and for the price, everything was fine. Know that although hotels.com mentions complimentary parking, Hyatt actually charges per day. The room was clean when we arrived, but no one came to clean the room again. We had to ask for towels. Breakfast buffet was well stocked. So convenient to American Airines center! Everything was wonderful! We had 2 other couples with us and everyone was pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was, the great price, the awesome location (5 min walk to AA Center).
