I needed to find a room at the last minute for a big trade show that had most other hotels in town booked. For the price, this room was maybe even a bit more than I would have expected. The beds were not the best quality, but everything else was okay. Some of the posts made it sound like this was a bad neighborhood with hookers and other stuff going […] on. I was there four nights and that was not the case at all. How can the neighborhood be bad when the only buildings around you for 1/4 mile are high-rise office buildings, a Jewish private school and a big hospital. As for convenience, it's 1/2 mile to the Forest Ave. train station and there was plenty of parking at the lot. The room was basic for the price, nothing above and nothing less. If you need an affordable place to stay with an decent price, this is your place. Do not expect any frills though. I actually liked that it was located literally right off the interstate.The rooms were a little outdated, with tube TVs and Retro furnished. But the kitchen and cleaning of the room was excellent! !! I just wish the TVs were a little newer than the 19 inch tube TV's with less than 30 channels. THEY WERE ALL GEARED TOWARDS MEN!!! 7 SPORTS CHANNELS AND […] NO KIDS CHANNELS! !! The hotel was okay, it was just that the location I was not very fond of. People were always walking around at night and that freaked us out a little bit. Also the air conditioner was not properly working it was random when it did work. Other than that everything else was okay, I mean the service was nice over the phone, and we didn't really talk to […] them in person. checkout was at eleven and they came to remind us at 10:30 but that was okay we were already on our way out, I don't know if that was a courtesy thing or they just needed to clean the room. The inforation on the Hotels.com site said the check-in time was 2:00 p.m. Upon arrival, I was told at the desk that that was a mistake and that check-in time was 3:00 p.m. No rooms were available at that time. A few friends and I decided to book a trip to Dallas for the weekend to have fun and relax. Unfortunately, we were driving and it took us 11 hours to get there. I had already reserved a room for us and even called ahead to let them know a day in advance that we were going to be checking in late. The man on the phone was polite and said that it was okay […] and someone will be there at all times. But from that phone call was already warning signs, I had to call twice because they didn't pick up and on the phone it said something about 'free wireless internet', when in actuality there was a charge. So we arrived in Dallas around 1am and went to the hotel to check in. We had to use the phone that was outside to let them know we had a reservation and needed to check in. The woman sounded a little bugged that we were checking in so late, which was understandable but she carried that attitude the whole time when we checked in and asked rudely for all ID of the guests. She gave us mean looks to and four key cards to use. (Only two of them worked) The grounds could have been kept up a little more. I was also under the impression that there was only one floor to the in but really there was two. It looked like a dressed up motel that wanted to look like an apartment complex. Also housekeeping was only offered if you were staying 7+ days or you had to pay extra if you wanted it. The shower was clogged up with who knows what. And no pots or pans.
