"Not the same"
:( Stayed here @ 10 years ago it was clean & fresh despite not being the greatest area. Arrived late @12:15 a.m. to be met in driveway by a hotel staff & told we would need to pull up under the awning & go check in & then park. I said I would go ahead & park & check in since it was just my son & I & we had one suit case. He let me proceed-this was to […] make sure the hotel parking lot wasn't used for overflow parking for the strip club next door. Check in fine, elevator didn't work right our non-smoking floor smelled like weed & the floor was loud with partying. Room was dated rust stains on the walls in the foyer, carpet stains & strong smell of deodorizer. A lot of partying going on by 1:00 a.m. I stepped out asking to hold it down. Just felt icky-but I'm sure to others it's fine & good enough to spend the night. Seemed like nothing had been done to update the property since the last time I was there. Breakfast was average but did get annoyed w/staff when they were putting new "eggs" into the steam table. Stood behind staff & could've easily selected what I wanted left. I loved the hotel, it was clean, the room was comfortable, and the staff was friendly. I used a GPS so I really didn't have a problem getting to my destinations, but it seems the hotel was a fair distance considering this is Dallas. I like Wingates for a value priced business stay. This particular one is situated pretty close to the freeway and also had trucks (garbage truck?) coming through at 3am. "Perfect for those that want an "hourly" hotel.."
The hotel is in a "questionable" partof town but the price was great and decided to try it. The room smelled nasty. I had the air conditioner set to run but it kept shutting off. Hotel was ok. Indoor pool was freezing and could not use. That should be stated when booking a room. Ice machines, not sure how often they are cleaned but had black chunks in the ice. Most likely mold from lack of cleaning. There could be more attention to keeping walls, pictures, and pot shelves cleaned and free of dust and paper. "Close to Dallas Love Field"
I was looking for a comfortable, safe and clean hotel close to Dallas Love Field. I had an early morning flight at 6:15 A.M. This hotel took care of all of my requirements and I was comfortable, felt safe and had a good night's sleep. The Wingate by Wyndham provides a great location at very reasonable prices. Close access to the highway system allows for quick and efficient travel throughout the D/FW area. While certainly not a five-star hotel, the accommodations are very clean and comfortable. This hotel meets all these requirements and comes at a great nightly rate. Add in an available hot breakfast at no charge and this hotel must be considered by budget minded guests. "Disappointed"
We had two rooms. One room was clean and satisfactory. Our friends who are not Wyndham members room was not satifactory. The sheets had not been changed from the last person staying in the room. The manager was kind enough to change the sheets, but that was very embarrasing to us as we are members of Wyndham and asked them to stay in a Wyndham Hotel. The hotel had a nice and comfortable atmosphere to it. The only downfall was the bed was VERY uncomfortable and didn't sleep well at all and the curtains didn't completely close all the way so it wasn't completely dark like we had hoped. "Okay, less than expected..."
Less than what I would have expected. Holiday Inn looks nicer. The furniture was outdated, in poor condition or dirty looking. Night stand needed to be moved to reach a plug, one leg was very wobbly and needed to be pushed back in place. Another piece of furniture had peeling laminate on the edge. One chair cushion looked soiled. The towel rack in bathroom […] was rusty and pulled down to an angle that the towels could have fallen off. Did not appreciated the gentlemen's club next door. Very disappointed that it says there is a 24 hour shuttle to the airport but when I requested a shuttle to pick me up from the airport at 11pm Mo at the front desk said because of gas prices that would not be possible. Very interesting way to accommodate a customer with a 24 hour service. I assume 24 hour service to Mo means, "when it is convenient […] and affordable for the hotel". That forced me to take a cab that cost me $15 extra dollars on top of the stay at the hotel. That will force me to choose another hotel the next time I need lodging close to Love Field in Dallas. "Great Disappointment for Business Traveler"
The remote did not work. I called the desk and she said, "Sorry. I do not have another remote. The remote in the room has been broken for over a week."
