My stay was more than pleasant. The bathroom was VERY spacious and though the bed was a little old it was very well kept. The lobby is gorgeous and I love the lemon water they have out along with cookies. The front desk staff could be a little more well-trained...they are not the most professional and drop the ball when helping with transportation needs. […] They were nice though. I was pleased with the customer service agents and their professionalism. This was my second reservation booking a room with Hilton Garden Inn Chain of Hotels. My first stay was reserved at the Garden Inn in Houston for the Women Thou Art Loosed 2011. I preferred double beds, more room. Most hotels have vending machines for hotel guests but his hotel did not. My daughter and I waited to be served in the dining room the night of our first stay 8/26, the waiter must have been overwhelmed. We never received any service. I ended up ordering from my room, where I was charged $2.00. I want to commend the driver of the van who was committed in making sure we had transportation to the train station to get the American Airlines Arena. The location is great for Medieval Times and American Airlines Center(1.5 miles). Free shuttle but make sure you book it a day in advance and it only runs until a certain time at night (not late enough to pick you up from concerts). The lady who works the front desk could definitely use a class or two in customer service (Ms. Leona). The pool was nice. […] The beds are kind of low to the floor but otherwise very comfortable. Check in is at 3. So, if you expect to get there at 2:30 and check in...think again. lol They do have a nice lobby to wait in though. Make sure to get snacks and drinks before you get there. I would totally recommend staying here to anyone. The only reason I gave a 4 on comfort of room was that the bed was a little too soft for me and my bad back but they were comfortable beds. Your front desk employee Mrs. Leona I believe her name was, could stand to go back thru hospitality training. She must've fell asleep, or missed those days of class. It was as if she was being bothered by checking me in. During my stay the other hotel staff would say good morning, welcome back, have a good day/evening, all of them, extremely cordial […] and polite. All with the exception of Mrs. Leona. She remained very crass and obtuse throughout my stay. I don't think in all the four days I was there, I saw her smile one time. The hotel was housing a large number of volleyball players. Thank goodness they did not keep me up. I did notice that it took the staff awhile to pick up food left outside the rooms.
