"Nice and Close to AAC"
Our check in was bittersweet. The first man to greet us was very friendly. Unfortunately, there was an error. A second man came to help. He never acknowledged us. At the beginning I had mentioned my Starwood card for points. I told him I had trouble activating it, and the nice man said he'd help me. During all the confusion, he forgot. So I mentioned […] it again. The rude man said "You can't use it since you booked through Expedia." He speaks?! I told him I'm aware of not recieving points for the booking, but what about for any in hotel spending? He says"Oh, you wanna do that?". Of course I do! I still don't know if it worked. The first man apologized and thanked us again, and off to our room we go. I chose this hotel because of the closeness to the American Airlines Center. Also, to accommodate friends. The room was perfect! Roomy and comfortable. Beds were cozy. It was just great for us and our friends to relax! Location is great for going to a game or concert. The room service was good. It was just a shame that we waited for awhile before they told us of being out of an item. But the server was friendly and the sandwich was tasty. The lobby and lounge area were elegant. Hotel restaurant has a good breakfast buffet. However, we ate dinner in the restaurant the night before and it was hit and miss on the entrees. Overall, the service at the hotel was great and we will definitely stay there again! Had an amazing experience at this hotel. First, Deborah at check-in was super friendly and helpful. We got there right at 3 and there weren't any clean rooms yet so she gave us a room on the preferred guest floor (not sure what it's really called). We were pretty wowed at the room. It was like a small apartment with a separate bedroom. It was clean, […] quiet, and the bed was ultra comfortable. They had a great indoor pool and hot tub. Every time we walked by the front desk, we were greeted. The breakfast was fantastic and even had a Texas shaped waffle that was delicious. EVERY single person that worked there was friendly to us. The room was paid in full for the entire stay since it was purchased online. Would have moved to a new hotel otherwise after the first day. The room was clean when we started but was barely looked at on the subsequent days. After repeated complaints to the manager they gave us a free breakfast but never brought the room back to fully clean. Empty soda cans or misc paper here n there, did not even vacuum the floor, etc........If they didnt want to clean the room after the first day we should have paid a lower price like at Extended Stay America were they dont clean your room unless requested and pay a small fee it its cleaned. For the value, this place was fantastic. "When distance matters"
Upon arriving to the hotel, the people at the front desk were all super friendly. Everything went well with check in. It wasn't till we were tucked in for the night that the disappointment began. At around midnight...someone attempted to enter our room, this was followed by a phone call 5 min later only to be hung up on and to to top things off...the […] alarm clock was set to go off shortly after. To solve the mystery, I called the front desk. With my heart pounding out of my chest, I came to find out that our room was offered to someone else and we were booked in another room. The person who tended to me at check in did not complete my booking and hence, the midnight interruptions. They offered us a free breakfast as compensation. We went down to front desk at 10am to verify the breakfast was added. We enjoyed breakfast, went back to our room to get our belongings and the door would not open...they checked me out without asking me!! Once again....back to front desk...mind you there was also only one elevator working of the two...what a pain!!! I said I would recommend this hotel because we went there for the proximity to Medieval Times (Walking distance) and the Art district because I hate driving in Dallas. "Best Pet-Friendly hotel I've been too!"
I've been to a few pet-friendly hotels, and this one is definitely near the top. They do not charge for pets and the rooms are huge! The dogs have plenty of room to run around and play. "Close to American Airlines Arena"
I was overall disappointed in my stay. The hotel was very clean and nice. However, our room had been given away when we arrived. I had called earlier in the day and verified we would not be checking in until after midnight but we would be there. The representative on the phone was very friendly and assured me there would be no issues with the room. […] We arrived and our room had been given away. We had reserved a room with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed. We were 2 adults and 3 teens. What they offered to give us was a King bed and a sofa bed. The front desk man was unprofessional and unhelpful. It took the some very firm words from me to get help from the Night Manager. He was helpful and finally found us a room. It was incredibly frustrating as I had made all the effort on my part to ensure I communicated with the hotel. We also chose this hotel with its close proximity to the AA Arena and the shuttle service posted on both the hotel info and the reviews read. Please note they DO NOT provide shuttle services for NBA games. What was frustrating to me is when I found out this information, I asked for suggestions on parking. The clerk said "drive". I have stayed at Holiday Inn's that provided much better customer service and assistance to out of town visitors. The hotel is nice and clean - the service was incredibly poor.
