"Wonderful stay!"
We went to Dallas to see family and watch a hockey game. Unfortunately, I had gotten food poisoning two days before the trip and was still feeling sick while we were in Dallas. "VERY PLEASANT EXPERIENCE!!!"
We were greeted by the most friendly staff at the front desk. Misty explained what we could expect so well that I couldn’t think of any questions to ask. The lobby was immaculate and gorgeous! The office with multiple computers with huge flat screen monitors and a printer was sophisticated and comfy. We needed to print tickets to the Medieval Times. […] When the printer had issues, Misty came right over and fixed it quickly. Not only did they not charge a pet deposit for our dog, they welcomed her every time we walked through the lobby. We got a room for ourselves and one for our kids. The views from both rooms on either side of the hotel was beautiful. I was expecting the rooms to be a bit larger, but they were very clean. Perfect. We paid a little extra to have access to the top floor for breakfast the next morning. Was much less expensive than taking 5 people to McDonald’s. All you can eat. Was like eating in your own home with the fridge, TV and all. There was even a couch. I wish we had had time to enjoy the pool and workout room. The beds were so incredibly comfortable. One of our kids slept on the sofa that folds out into a bed and said he was comfortable as well. It was just… wonderful. I wish there was a Sheraton like this one every place we travel. That weekend there was a group of motorcycle riders/bikers. It was loud. They had very loud music at the pool until 11 or 12pm. They were loud motorcycle roaring all night. There was also people in the front lobby dressed very colorful and too thight if you know what I mean. Most of them were with the bikers team. The hotel was also having issues with […] the wifi. "Rooms need Renovation"
The hotel it self was nice and the staff were friendly. However the rooms really need updating and better maintenance. First the carpet had many dirty black stains. Lamp shade was broken and just hanging on the side of the lamp. The shower head had a leak around the seal spraying water out the top hitting the ceiling then getting the whole bathroom […] wet. The steam from the shower set off the very loud smoke alarm/ detector. I am glad the detector worked but that was a little intense. When we told the staff about these things they just said ok. "Nicely priced suites near downtown"
For the price and proximity to downtown Dallas, you cannot beat it! Plus, these are actual suites not simply hotel rooms which makes it great with kids too. Hotel is definitely older but has been remodeled so doesn't make you feel like you are staying at a hotel with 1960-70's decor. The Market Place Sheraton is a fine location to access many of Dallas' downtown attractions. Very easy access to Dallas' confusing freeway system. By the look of the place it has seen better days. "Not a real Suite"
I booked this hotel becuase it was a decent price in a good area of Dallas. Pictures looked nice and Sheraton is a good brand. But i was with my family of five and this was not embassy suites. it was two rooms but it was like they took a good size hotel room and split it in two. Everything was small, small, small, again small.. living room no room to […] move.....bedroom two double beds...I forgot how small they were. "Beautiful Sheraton as one would expect."
I did have a problem with the pool. I was very disappointed. The pool was extremely dirty and cloudy. The kids were promised pool time and for the Sheraton I expected it to be very clean. Another problem was the communication among the front desk and maid service. Two days in a row I requested a certain amount of extra coffee for the room and both days […] it was wrong. I tried talking to maid service myself but apparently there was a language problem. I did not speak spanish and they did not speak english.. I have stayed at this hotel before. "Convenience with a capital C"
Planned a spur of the moment trip to Dallas for my sons to the medieval times castle. This hotel is definitely the place to stay for the convenience if planning a trip to the castle. Front door of the hotel to front door of the castle in less than 5 minutes walk time. Not to mention, parking and traffic. Approach is kind of goofy. You take the highway side, you cannot go into the hotel. The main enterance is at a location which is a little cumbersome. In and out of the hotel is trickey. "Perfect for a visit to Medieval Times"
The Sheraton Suite - Market Center was the perfect hotel for our family because the manager (Mark) put us in a room overlooking the Medieval Times castle. Because it is right next door, we walked right over when it was our time for our dinner reservations. We avoided all of the hassle with parking and traffic. The kids were also excited to see the downtown […] lights at night. The room we were in exceeded our expectations. It was a "King Suite" with a pull-out sofabed. There was a door that separated the living space from the bedroom space. The two t.v.'s allowed the kids could watch their own shows while my husband and I enjoyed some quiet. The hotel was clean, but keep in mind it is a pet-friendly hotel. We encountered several dogs, but they were all on leashes and did not make any noise. The kids enjoyed playing in the outdoor pool. There was a bit of green algae on the tiles lining the pool area, but it did not bother anyone. I mentioned it to the front desk clerk on our way out but did not go back to check if it was taken care of. We ate at the hotel's restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Both times, the servers were very polite. It seemed the kitchen was a bit understaffed as our dinner order of sandwiches and nachos took a while to prepare (~30 mins), and I had to remind the breakfast chef forgot about my omelet and it burned in the oven, but he was quick to make a new one for me. There is a Denny's just down the street and the front desk provided us with a list with directions to many other good restaurants within 5-10 mins driving. "etwas enttäuscht"
Nach einer Texas-Rundreise wollten wir noch zwei Nächte entspannen bevor es wieder nach Haus ging. Das Hotel wude wegen der guten Kritiken hinsichtlich Service und Freundlichkeit neben der Gesamtqualität gewählt. Hotel insgesamt ist in Ordnung, schöne Aussicht aus unserem Zimmer auf die Skyline von Dallas, Bett gemütlich, sauber, aber alles in Allem […] etwas enttäuscht von der Einrichtung und auch vor Allem von Service und Freundlichkeit beim Frühstück. Hier hatte man nicht das Gefühl sehr willkommen zu sein. Dies kann aber eine Ausnahme gewesen sein. Ansonsten, wer das Hotel zu einem günstigen Preis buchen kann, durchaus zu empfehlen.
