"Great property but..."
I would love to give this hotel a stellar rating, but I had 1 single frustration that is quite common with the upper scale hilton hotels. for whatever reason, this property charges an extra $10 per day for internet access. when staying for leisure, this is just basically a rate increase. Whenn staying on business its quite frustrating because it adds […] an itemized item to a bill already paid by the company travel agency. besides that, the rest of this stay was quite comfortable and the property is very clean. My Check-in was at 3pm. I showed up close to 4pm & they tell me there's no rooms available. Then they tell me I need to wait around til a room becomes available. "Good for quick and easy access to Dallas..."
Hotel was dated on the outside, and didn't look that great pulling up. Inside was a different story. Very nice, very clean and the people were great to deal with. Room was OK. "Not the worst but not the best......"
This is one of our favorite hotels, especially for the breakfast, although this was not the best one we have stayed at. Couldn't check in on time because they didn't have rooms cleaned and they were under staffed at the front desk. On website it said that we got a balcony room but when I checked in they said they got rid of all the balconies when they […] renovated, so that needs to be updated. I needed a cab at a certain time that evening and was told 2 different wait times, and then they would let me know when the cab arrived- they never did so the cab left and we had to wait 30 min for another one which made us late for our plans. Then the next morning house keeping came barging in the room at 930! again at 10! then again at 11...even after we told them the first time we would be checking out between 11 and 12 (check-out is at 12). Breakfast was great as usual, room was clean, I did get a good view of the city as I requested, and over all vibe was good. Not the worst stay but definately not the best. "Mediocre at best"
Nothing was terrible about our stay and nothing was great either - simply mediocre at best. The room was clean but there was significant noise during the night which carried into the front room and kept our kids awake - there was no hotel management addressing the noise issues. OK - we had to ask for pillows for the sofa bed 3 times before they arrived. No maps were given to us when we requested one. The guy at the front desk forgot to mention they were in the business office.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Reasonable Accommodation with Reasnable Price"
We stayed there for five days and we were not displeased with it. It is not very expensive and security, parking, and breakfast is reasonable unless you have mountain of expectations which we did not have it to start with. The breakfast is good for the value. Check in time is at three then the rooms should be ready by 3pm we had to wait for an extended period of time for our room to be ready, when you have plans at six and you can not get into your room until after four. it tends to ruin ones evening.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Would have been a 5 star rating if AC hadn't broke"
The hotel itself was very nice and the staff were very eager to please and helpful with whatever we needed. The continental breakfast had a lot of variety and was very tasty which was nice since I had 3 picky kids to feed. Indoor pool was convienient and my kids really enjoyed swimming in it. My only complaint, which was purely coincidental, was the […] AC units for the entire hotel went out our 2nd day there. The staff tried hard to accomodate us and thankfully it did get repaired, but we had a couple of warm nights and days. Would I recommend this hotel, most definitely! "Overall Good Stay"
The hotel was nice and the indoor pool was a plus. However, I was really dissapointed with the room. It was small, no windows over looking outside but just one looking the hallway. The rooms had "wet-paint" signs on every door in our hall. AC wasn't working even though we turned the system down to 60. Staff was very friendly, but we should have been told of the construction going on inside of our hotel prior to booking.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Happy hour and breakfast included at this hotel was one the primary reasons it was selected. The snacks for happy hour were stale and the variety of drinks was limited. I have stayed at other Embassy Suites in other states/cities and this was the worse ever. I will not stay at this location again. The front desk personnel during check-in were rude.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Bad Service & Loud Music Nearby"
Before you stay here, find out if there will be any live music at the Alamo Tex-Mex restaurant 2 doors down on the east side of the hotel. This music was blaring so loud until 12:15 in the morning! I could not fall asleep until they stopped. Worse than that, it was death metal!! I could also hear every word said on the mic. My husband called the front […] desk about it and was tld they had a permit to play until midnight. The room was very nice, but our kids were super excited to sleep on the pull-out sofa. There was only a sheet, so we called again to get a blanket. The clerk was rude and said they were out and did nothing to accomodate us. The best part of the stay was the free breakfast in the morning. There is also a nice indoor pool, but the service could have been a lot better. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Might give them another try, but disappointed"
Unfortunately, when I booked this room, I did not know it would be in the midst of rennovations, which was disruptive to my stay. I was tired and hungry upon arrival, and decided to try the in house restaurant. A friendly front desk staff member suggested the burgers. The gentleman who was ruinning the makeshift restaurant did not appear to have addequate […] support staff, and while he did all he could to accomodate the busy station, he was having a hard time. My medium burger was pretty well charred, but I was too tired or hungry to worry about it. When I got back up to my room, one phone was not functioning, so I alerted the the desk .The next morning my hair dyer switch would only work on low, I asked them to send me another for the next day. When I got back to my room late that night, neither the phone had been repaired, nor a hair dryer brought in. The staff I spoke with were all friendly and helpful, they just didn't seem to get the things done that really needed to be done in my opinion. I enjoyed the full breakfast, got back too late to enjoy the manager's reception, which other Guests have told me is quite nice. My room was very well appointed, comfy, and I loved the pillows. (I am a pillow snob!) The first night there was a very noisy group of kids that really made the hot tub impossible to enjoy, but I have no idea how a hotel can prevent that. The second night I had it to myself, and sort of made up for it! :) Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good hotel, but not up to Embassy Suites Standards"
the breakfast at this hotel was noticeably less "inspiring" than most embassy suites i've stayed at. i travel for business about 12-15 times per year and prefer embassy suites for several reasons, one of which is that they have a well rounded breakfast which makes business travel a little more bearable. this is the only location that i have been disappointed […] with so far. also, as the hotel was undergoing a MAJOR renovation, so the rooms were nice, but construction traffic took up much of the parking and also caused more noise that usual. lastly, my flight arrived 2 hours late due to bad weather, thus my checkin to the hotel was late. when i arrived, they said they thought i was a no-show and were already running audit. i had to wait in the lobby for over 30 minutes before they could check me into my room. I understand that you have to run audit at some point, i just wish it wasn't at 1:30 am when i was trying to get checked in and get some sleep before an 8am meeting. "will not stay there again"
The bed was very comfortable. The room had a dank smell to it and the bathtub was not cleaned well. The card reader on the room door was on the fritz and it would take swiping multiple times (once as many as 17 times) before it would read the card and unlock the door. The breakfast was unappetizing to the point that my 2nd day, I ate breakfast out even […] though having a full breakfast was one of the factors that led me to choose this hotel in the first place. CON---When booking the hotel I was not told of the remodeling that was being done. Construction workers parked in the customer parking up close not in the furthest away spots (like I would assume shouldve been done). I also believe that the other employees shouldve waited for the front desk clerks to finish with customers prior to cutting in line to […] get their issues resolved. If you set/sleep in the sitting rooom you can hear guests coming a going. :( Not a fan of hotels that provided smoking floors. "Construction warning would have been nice"
I enjoyed my room at the Embassy Suites, but I do really wish I would have been informed before booking this hotel that the ENTIRE lobby was under construction. I was not informed, in any way, that a major remodeling project was well underway to the interior common areas and main entrance. "First time bad experience with Embassey Suites"
I was visiting in Dallas and stayed 2 nights. Saturday and Sunday. It took multiple phone calls to get an extra refrigerator in the room. But after several hours later, I finally received one. They were also doing construction during our visit so the pool was out of service, and there was lots of banging when my mother was trying to take a nap during […] the middle of the afternoon. Returning back to the hotel after an evening of dinner, I was shocked to see the side door "open" at 10:00pm. It was obvious they were understaffed during my visit because even during the manager reception, lines were long with only 1 bartender on a Saturday night. The final straw was the air conditioning not working properly. Like the refrigerator incident, it took multiple phone calls and eventually I was put in a another room. I am a loyal embassey suites customer and will very likely still stay at the hotel again, just not that particular location in Dallas. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Embassy Suites Market Square - Scary Neighborhood"
This is probably the worst Embassy Suites I've ever stayed in. The carpets had multiple stains and the room smelled very musty, my mold allergies started to kick in right away. There were construction workers loitering in the lobby and running machinery upstairs and the pool area was closed (they did give me the address of another hotel with a pool […] I could use). The neighboorhood around the hotel is bad enought that they have a tall fence around the hotel and an entry gate to get in and out. There were people loitering outside the gated area and we heard sirens all night. Will not stay at this location again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Maybe good for family, not a good for work"
I selected this hotel because it was close to one of my clients. Received a smiling face during arrival, after it took 10 minutes to find parking. After walking away from registration, I was hit by an intense smell of chlorine from the indoor pool and saw many, many kids running in/around the pool area before reaching the elevator. During my 2 day stay […] the fire alarm went off twice, once past midnight and another around 10AM. Both were accidents that didn't include a real fire. Over all it was pricy for the condition of the room, hotel exterior/interior were below average, there was a slight fear my car could be broken into (they have giant entry lift bars that rise during entry/exit to the hotel parking lot that seem very cheaply done and would only impede automobiles, not people) as well the fire alarm going off twice during a 2 night stay put a nail in the coffin for me. The hotel was comfortable, however, the wi-fi and the phones in my room did not work. I told the front desk and it was like they didn't even care. I was told, "we will look into it" never heard anything else. What if there had been a fire or other emergency?????Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I have paid much less for The Adolphus Hotel (through Hotel.com), a much-much better hotel than Embassy Suites. My guess is the price is so high because you can cram up to six guys per dark and old "suite". "Enjoyable but gone downhill"
It is a family tradition to go out and stay at an Embassy Suites during Christmas. Mainly because the hotels are usually empty and my mom always wants to hit the after Christmas sales early. The staff is welcoming and friendly. However, I assume cost-cutting measures have taken some small luxuries away. This particular location used to have a steam […] room and sauna. Both are gone now but the indoor pool and jacuzzi are still in great working order. The gym is new but a bit small and lacking of fancier equipment. The free happy hour has gone cheap as well. Although drinks are still free, the snacks are better left uneaten. Pretzel sticks and stale chips/salsa are the only thing. I remember they used to have nuts and popcorn as well. Breakfast is down as well. The chef is amazing at taking 5-6 orders for omelettes at a time. However, the wait is long when there are 20 guests and only 1 chef. The cold breakfast items are tasteless and bland. I used to enjoy their breakfasts but after my scrambled eggs, I went off to buy a real breakfast. Overall, it's still a lovely place to stay. Compared to luxury boutique hotels in the surrounding area, I'd much rather stick with Embassy Suites. This place definitely gives you the most bang for your buck!
