When we walked into our room on day 2, it was as if Goldilocks had came into our room and slept in my bed. It was gross actually. The room was in perfect condition, having just been cleaned by staff, but it was apparent that my bed had been pulled back and someone laid on my pillow. I was actually quite grossed out.

The hotel was clean and our room was tidy and functional. We went to the managers reception. The appetizer tables were either out of food or plates every time we tried to get a snack. There was only one person working the bar so there was always long lines. Needless to say, we didn't get any snacks or drinks so we just decided to head to the restaurant. […] We ordered rib eye steaks - one medium and one medium well. Both were medium rare and tough. Being two-for-two, we decided to go up to our room and relax over a movie. Hmmm - couldn't hear the television for the very loud music blasting from an outdoor band at a nearby venue. After midnight when the music stopped, we thought we may finally get some sleep. Nope! Seems the music was the only thing drowning out the banging sounds coming from something in the ceiling or walls outside our room. I called the desk at 3am to complain about the constant noise. The desk clerk asked me if it was just the pipes making noise. So the next day we were mildly surprised that the breakfast buffet was warm, fresh and plentiful. I booked this hotel because of the pictures on the web site. The hotel was under construction and it was very disappointing. We had to wait over 20 minutes to leave when checking out because they were cleaning the only other working elevator. There was a ton of people at breakfast and they were just not prepared. I told the front desk and he said they would take care of it but, when I looked 2 hours later hair was still the same. The bus took us to the market place we had our kids with us to go to dinner. This has, in the past, been one of my favorite hotels. It is undergoing a less than stellar re-tread and staying there this past weekend was a huge disappointment. I was traveling with a 4 year old and booked this hotel for the indoor pool due to the extreme TX heat. The pool was clean (not the hot tub), but the noise level is extremely bad. Several […] teenage boys were in the pool and we left after only 30 min. It was also uncomfortably cold (go figure). The hotel does not have Pay-per-view!!! What on earth? I cannot even remotely imagine why they bother to put two big televisions in the rooms with only 30+ channels. The room service was timely, but the food was not good and we sent some back. All-in-all, this remains a good hotel for business people. The breakfast was good and the room more than adequate for singles traveling for business. It was pretty bad. Upon arrival I found out theat the entire intereior of the hotel as well as the exterior front entrance was under construction. They had loud construction going on form about 7am till 6pm daily. The hotel also gave me the wrong room and simply said that they had over booked their king suites. I will not go back.

Hotel is under construction. We would not consider staying here again unless it was complete - even then probably not. The front desk never answers the phone - we made multiple calls downstairs which were never answered. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was for the shuttle service to American Airlines Center for a concert. It turns out the […] last shuttle run of the night is at 9:30 - thanks for nothing! IF you are going to promote your hotel as being close to venues and run a shuttle for your guests to use to attend concerts, it would make sense to continue to operate it until the concert is over. Also, the fire alarm going off at around 8:00 a.m. didn't start our Saturday off right. We were very very disappointed in our stay. We drove in to the parking lot to find all types of excavation and large construction equipment blocking the main entrance. The only entrance was through a dirty unkept side door. The entire inside courtyard was walled off with plastic and the courtyard was deconstructed down to the concrete. Only one set […] of elevators was working. The place smelled of construction dust. We were incredibly relieved that no work took place during our stay and the room we were given had been renovated... except for the dripping ceiling that wet the carpet and floor. The bed was comfy. Of all the hotels we could have chosen- including cheaper ones, I don't think we could have been stuck with a less restful one than this one. A family members car was broken into about 11:00am on Sat. morning. The parking lot cameras did not face the parking lot but were pointed away.At this point we were also not shown any camera footage to see what cars were coming and or going. The criminals took the car next door and filled it up with gas. They stole a large black bag that had an ipad […] in it of the college graduate . We had about 16 family and friends staying at the hotel. It was very upsetting for our graduate. We were all in Dallas for her graduation and unfortunately she was the victim. There were many people around when this occurred including an employee who was sweeping the lot. He claimed not to have seen anything. It happened within a 15min. time time period. This graduate and her family are hoping to go on a vacation to further celebrate her graduation and without her id she is now not sure if she will be able to fl..I recommend a security guard in the parking lot. Evidently the police said that the surrounding parking lots were vandalized often. We did see your warning signs unfortunately she was just running in to bring us all to lunch and left her bag in the car. Needless to say it was extremely upsetting . They just pulled the window out of the car in a matter of secconds and changed what was going to be a wonderful day into a very uncomfortable one. Read more

The first night, Thursday, was great as there weren't very many guests at the hotel. The breakfast "buffet" consisted of fruit, bagels and muffins; not at all like all other Embassy Suites I have visited in the past that provided hot items such as eggs, bacon, biscuits, etc. The manager's reception was awful as there was only one bartender and at least […] 10 to 15 people in line at any one time. The next two nights saw hundreds of kids at the hotel for some type of tournament. Also, there wasn't any notice provided about the construction occurring at the hotel; that usually began before 9:00 in the morning. Signs were posted all over the hotel's common areas (workout facility, pool, hot tub) that due to construction the areas were no longer accessible to patrons. My guess these signs were posted in error as many guests were using all the facilities despite the warnings indicating otherwise. Read more

Well it all started off with the hotel having construction going on. You have find the lobby first. The check-in was pretty easy with no problems once you find the temporary check-in location. After that, there was a concert across the street and I could hear and sing the lyrics of the songs cause I could here the band playing it clearly as if I was there.. It was st patrick day weekend and the end of spring those too things along with a hotel in major renotavation cause are stay to short of a nightmare. We were not told that the hotel was under construction before arrival. I was told that there was a shuttle to the convention center and they changed their policy Jan 1 to only shuttle to the airport. I asked for adjoining rooms and got them. I discovered that one room had the door open and a ladder under the air conditioner. Our other guests were arriving […] that evening and I asked if the room was okay. I returned later in the afternoon and inquired about the room again. They told me that everything was okay. Upon arrival around 11pm, the other guests discovered that the air did not work. Next morning we left for an all day meeting and informed the front desk again about the problem. They said they would take care of it. We we came back later in the day we discovered that nothing had been done. They finally got someone to fix it pretty quickly. Needless to say the stay could have been better. We should have been informed about the construction ahead of time. I like Embassy Suites as a rule. I hope my review will rustle a few feathers. Embassy as a whole has been positive, but THIS particular one was NOT! In a world of hotels that offer top notch client service, this one was an epic fail. Strangely enough, it is surrounded by names such as Holiday Inn, Marriott, Renaissance, etc... yet the staff makes no effort to "win you over" with their customer service. A few examples of disappointment: […] could not get a server to wait on us in the restaurant, locked us out of our room the second day b/c we hadn't taken care of our "high balance ($34 that consisted of room service b/c they wouldn't wait on us down stairs and one day of internet), instead of having our cc on file. This made us feel we were "high risk" over $34??? The highway noise was horrific, might as well have slept outside. During the day there was some other continual, disturbing noise going on over our head. We bought bathing suites for our girls to swim but found (after walking to the pool) that the pool was closed. Never mentioned upon checkin. You couldn't get a soda anywhere I could find. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. The room WAS clean, I will say that. But we will not ever stay at this hotel again. I had my choice to stay at the embaasy suites or the Hilton a couple of blocks up the street. First of all the staff was polite and friendly so no problem there. The entrance and lobby were old looking and the tile floor must be 20 years old. In my room there were stains on carpet and bed was sagging. This room looked like it had been furnished in 1980 […] and never changed. I have stayed in the Hilton down the street and I should have stayed this time. One more thing one of the reasons I stayed here was for the free breakfast and the food was awful!. The rooms are all gross, outdated, dirty. My bathroom had no soap holder for the shower, the show door didn't close, the sofa was disgusting old and dirty. Everything is a gross shade of tan, brown. Carpeting was stained and nasty. I would avoid this Embassy Suites at all costs.

Let me start by saying, I chose this hotel due to the ammenities and I hve styed before and it was great. This stay was horrible. It was my financee's 45th bday and I planned a romantic weekend. The stay at the Embassy, dinner at Nick and Sams, swimming, etc.. Well at check in, the lobby was full of children, I was already worried about the noise but […] my stay was non-refundable so I advised him this was a romantic weekend for us, so they said they were placing us on the 9th floor due to a softball tournament. I left to go pick up my financee and when we got back, it was a mad house. Kids playing in the elevators, halls, etc. He decided to take a swim... huh! We got down to the pool and for about 5 mins, he could enjoy himself and then a ton of children overtook the pool. We went back to the room to prepare for our dinner party. We left at 9:00 and there were still children running nd playing everywhere. Sat breakfast was crazy...kids kids and more kids. We got our food and went back to the room since we couldnt enjoy sitting downstairs. The kids played in the elevator and at one point we hd to stop on every floor because one of them pushed every button. After a while the noise seemed to die down outside the room and we figured they all left for games, so we got to swim for about 1hr. We left for a little while after and when we came back... the mad house was in full affect again. This time it was so irratating we could not even take nap! We closed the inside door to the room and could still her them running back and forth past the room. We went to the business center to take care of some business... kids trying to get on FB. They left but the computers would not work. The man came in and when I brought up to him how disappointed in the stay I ws, he advised he emailed corporte the day before due to no one advised them that the softball tournaments would be staying there. The hotel is need of updating. One set of elevators was not in service. The carpet in the room was severely stained and had a distinct odor. When we arrived, we did not have any shampoo, conditioner or lotion. Three pieces of equipment in the workout room were not functioning.

The hotel wasn't too sanitary, I had ask several times to have the soap dispensers replenished and no one would respond after a few days. The bathrooms in the general areas were in serious need of service. This was the 1st of many hotels that didn't have towel racks for the bath towel but one for the hand towel. No one at the front desk could explain […] this but said this was a major concern. I spoke a manager and the general manager about my concerns and he basically offered a free night in addition to our stay. The breakfast was pretty good but that's about all I can say that was. Hotel is being renovated and it needs it. They overbooked the hotel the first night and were sending people to hotels that were far away. They gave one of the people in my party a smoking room that smelled horrible, when asked to change, they couldn't because they were overbooked.
