"Would NOT recommend"
It was just okay. The room that they put us in had a really weird sewage smell. We had to ask them to put us in another room (they did and also gave us 2 coupons worth $10 each to use at the restaurant there). Everything looks rundown. One of the elevators was not working properly. The only positive thing I could say about it is that it is a block away […] from the Galleria Dallas and not too far from downtown Dallas. Sorry, but I would not recommend this hotel unless you want something close to the Galleria mall without paying an arm and a leg for it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Parking Difficulties and LOTS of construction"
First of all, I think that paying $10/day to park ONSITE at any hotel that isn't located in a downtown area, is just ridiculous. Second, if you're going to charge me this nuisance fee, at least get your parking gates/meters sorted out so that my room key will actually allow me to enter/exit! Not once during my stay did it operate properly as promised. […] I was even late for a dinner meeting because I couldn't get out of the parking lot and had to go back inside and get the keycard recoded. And it STILL DIDN'T WORK when I returned to the parking lot! Third, there is so much construction on I-635/LBJ that getting onto the interstate is just a massive pain with the re-routing of the roads, etc. Will definitely return to my preferred hotel of choice a mile away where parking is free, hotel staff is more accomodating and access to the main roads is far superior! The hotel its self and room was very clean very nice i think the only problem was that when returning back to our room after a night out with my husband around 1:30 in the morning there was no parking left so when i went in to ask were to park the guy at the front desk was annoyed with my question and very rudely told me down the block on the street […] at that time people were coming in from a night out also very upset that there was no parking, so needless to say we findly parked two blocks away along with about 10 more cars that was the only down fall other than that its a great hotel for the price and breakfast was very good !! "Hotel felt old"
The hotel seemed very old. I have stayed at many Sheraton hotels over the years, all of which have been great. This particular instance was a disappointment. There are also issues with limited parking, quality of room service (for e.g. coffee was never replenished) etc. Overall the experience was below expectations and as a result I left unsatisfie […] d. "No sleep due to A/C fan."
The A/C fan made a lot of noise, like a scraping sound. It made it very difficult to sleep. Also, the water pressure in the shower was very low.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Expected a lot more from Sharaton!"
The most disappointing thing for us was the attitude of the staff. Every time we had to deal with the front desk, there was a wait time and they were not even friendly. One morning we called the front desk for more coffee and it never came... After waiting for more than 20 minutes, we had to go out in the hall and hunt the cleaning lady to get some […] from her. We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and I got awaken in the middle of the night during two of the nights by guests next door being too loud. Sound isolation was lacking, at least on our floor. Pool was too small and water seemed dirty. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not family-friendly, cleanliness not consistent"
At check-in we learned some celebrities were staying there. This was confirmed shortly thereafter by the group of scantily-clad "working girls" we saw leaving the building in almost no clothing. This made for a very awkward family moment, and we were unable to avoid an unpleasant view with our young daughter. The front desk associates were very nice. […] Housekeeping did not always clean the room well, sometimes did not replace towels. New carpeting in rooms. Beds very comfortable. Feather pillows. No Disney Channel or Animal Planet. Television channel selection for children was lacking. Showtime was the only movie channel provided. Pool was okay, not spectacular, construction surrounding the pool area made for a disappointing view. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great swimming pool for kiddos"
We chose this hotel because of their swimming pool. It has a nice shallow area for toddlers. We were disappointed to find out that they charged us extra 10 USD per night for the use of a mini-fridge. We called them in advance to know if the rooms have a fridge because of our allergies we needed to bring our own food. They told us that every room has […] a fridge but that wasn't true. The lobby of the hotel is very modern, and the breakfast was wonderful. They have a beautiful fitness center, but, once you stand at the elevators to go up to your room it all goes down hill. We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and everyday the one of the elevators was broken. There was garbage in the vending/ice room that was there the whole time […] we were there. The shower had a mind of its own, the first night the water was so hot, the second night the water was freezing, the third night there was no water pressure, finally on the last night I had a decent shower. Hotel is nice and clean. It has been remodeld, recently. The lobby/bar area was very nicely decorated. The provided breakfast was good; lots of options. Our only issue was our room. We paid for a king size room, non-smoking. But ended up with a single, full size bed (not even a queen size). My husband and I haven't slept that close EVER! Would have […] complained and requested a new room, but were only staying one night with a late check-in, so didn't feel like hassling with it. Also the bathrooms are extremely small. "Non-Refundable Pet Fee charge"
The hotel is nice and it is by the galleria mall. There is allot of construction going on around the area as well. They charge a non-refundable $75 fee for pets which is ridiculous to me. We stayed at a Sheraton closer to downtown in Dallas and they charged a $50 refundable pet fee (which is more realistic to me) and the rooms were bigger. I will not […] use this Sheraton again because of the pet fee. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

The staff was really nice and friendly. But we had several problems. First of all we tried to swim in the "heated" pool, but it was freezing and there were no towels, and they told us not to take the room towels. Then we had to change rooms at 10:30 pm because we had no water pressure and couldn't take showers. The staff was very helpful. There we also […] alot of teenagers running from room to room being very loud. Once we moved to a different floor that problem went away. The other issue was the beds and linens. "Bad Bath"
This hotel was newly and beautifully renovated. The problem I had was with the staff members' lack of knowledge and the bathroom water pressure. I brought my dog on this trip with me, and upon checkin, none of the staff knew anything about the pet policy. I also had trouble taking a shower. There was barely a trickle running from the shower head when […] trying to use the hot water, and there was no cold water coming from the sink at all. #I had to bathe in the sink and brush my teeth in the tub# Overall, the hotel did a wonderful job in making the place look nice, but they need to spend much more time and energy on improving the plumbing system. "Pretty nice place"
The location is great. Right off of the main highways, near the Galleria and lots of great venues in the Addison/North Dallas area. When we got to the hotel, there was lizard in the room. Whenever I called the front desk, I was asked if I wanted maintanence to come and remove it or if I would like a different room. We stayed here for our wedding anniversary. The room was okay until I got into the shower the next morning. There was numerous hair from different people in the bathtub. "You can do better in Big D"
My husband and I live in the Dallas area but stayed here for a quick getaway after having our 2nd child. All we really wanted to do was sleep and it was great for that because the room was nice and cozy. However, I won't return and here's why: we've stayed at nicer hotels for the same price, the room needs an update (stained furniture, outdated items), […] the pool was awful (very small and only ONE broken lounge chair). You have to use your room key to use the elevator. Our bellman explained this was because they have lots of students coming for tournaments, etc that play around on the floors. I could tell that lots of kids had been through there based on the room condition. Anyway, for this price-you can do better in Big D. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Sheraton Dallas North - Near the Galleria"
My stay at the Sheraton Dallas North had a bad start, and a terrific finish. I arrived at the tail end of the Memorial Day weekend where the hotel was at capacity, and was greeted by a pair of dirty men's boxer briefs on the sidewalk upon walking to the hotel entrance. Once inside, I got my room key then waited for over 10 minutes for the one working […] elevator to open (there were 3). There were so many other people waiting, I had to wait for it to return to the lobby. At some point one of the hotel staff come out and tried to wrench open one of the other non-working elevators, which was perplexing. You're either letting trapped people out, or you're expecting people to get into an elevator that clearly isn't functioning. When I got to my room, the bathroom had hair from the previous guest in the shower and one of the electrical outlets was broken. I contacted the guest services desk and told them about my issues. Three times they attempted to access my folio, to no avail. Finally several hours later I was able to switch rooms. Once I switched rooms, everything went perfectly smoothly. The room was clean, well appointed, and guest services checked in to make sure all was in order. By Tuesday, two of the elevators were working again, and all the high capacity issues from the weekend were resolved. Guest services comped my internet usage for the week to make up for the bumpiness on my check-in. To sum, I would stay in this hotel again, but I might call first to make sure they aren't running a weekend special or are at capacity since it seems they don't scale up staff to meeting that capacity. When things returned to normal, they really shined. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Sheraton Hotel Dallas North-great location"
We generally enjoyed our weekend stay at Sheraton Dallas North. Two things were bothersome, the first was that the hotel lobby and even the hallways had an unusual smell, hard to describe but it was like older carpet that had gotten wet. After a while I got a headache from it.Also the facility needs a good dose of freshening up,the room furniture was old, fixtures […] were old and worn out and the pool area needs attention. it looks straight out of the 70's no plants, very little seating. On a positive note the front desk took care of 2 concerns swiftly. The first was that our TV was not working when we arrived, after talking to the front desk it was repaired by the time we came back from dinner. The second was that a room I believe was on our floor had a dog a barking at midnite, boy talk about being aggravated.A call to the front desk took care of that also. .Overall it was worth what we paid. My first impression of the hotel was that it was very nice. The lobby was lively and well maintained. I liked the fact that my pet ( Jack Russell) was welcomed.
