I certainly have no complaints about this hotel. Everything was super clean, service was speedy, and staff members were very friendly. Location is fantastic and close to the heart of Dallas. Fitness center on the 30th floor was nice. Rooftop pool and hot tub were nice, although somewhat anti-climactic... I suppose I was expecting a dramatic poolside […] view of the Dallas skyline, and was disappointed that the tall cement wall surrounding the rooftop amenities completely obstructed what could have been an astounding, memorable view (Although I realize safety here is a concern, it doesn't seem that it would be too difficult or cost prohibitive to add windows or a viewing area so that guests can take advantage of the cool views). Our deluxe room was high end and modern with a stunning view of downtown, but somewhat devoid of the character we were expecting from a hotel of this price point. Worth mentioning is Asado, the lobby bar and restaurant, which serves up gourmet 'farm-to-fire' fare and spectacular cocktails at reasonable prices. My expectations were met in every aspect at this hotel, though they were not *exceeded* as I had secretly hoped they would be going in. Overall, I would definitely stay here again if I found the rooms on sale. It is a very nice property. Read more

timelyough I wasn'tmade aware of the hotel becoming valet only, it was convenient. I was in town for wedding and was running a bit behind. Little things like that are always helpful to know, however I love this hotel....It was my first leisure stay. The staff is always awesome... The hotel was very nice, room was spacious however the mini fridge smelled heavily of mold and I was given a room right next to the elevators which of course meant I got to hear all the fun people were having as they made their way out to their rooms. Additionally, the parking lot in the front is very small and although they have a very large lot in […] the back the Valet asked if I would like to valet I said I'd self park around the back, he told me that it wasn't a good idea and since I have a nice car if I couldn't find a spot in the front lot he would let me park in Valet for no charge to avoid any unpleasant surprises. So kudos to the Valet for his helpfulness and honesty, but beware of the neighborhood I guess. Read more

The service was excellent. The food was top notch. The accomodations were updated and comfy. The hotel interior is nice. However, the bathroom was too small. I'm used to the newer hotels where the bathrooms are larger. However, the size of the bathroom reminded me of staying in a Motel 6 during my salad days. The only other bad thing was that the staff […] didn't empty the trash receptacles in the common areas too often: the trash cans next to the entry smelled of rotten veggies as did the trash cans in the vending/ice room. The hotel was very nice and the staff were great. The restaurant was exceptional. We had both dinner and breakfast there and we were happy with both. The only complaints we had were the beds were not comfortable, which may just be personal preference. The rooms were very clean and nice. Nice place to stay. Room was on top floor and enjoyed the view. Convenient "free" parking. Nice breakfast buffet. Rooms are nice, however, in the morning experienced noise that sounded like water running in pipes from adjoining room. Tough to sleep through. Only issue for an otherwise pleasant experience.

The hotel was nice. The thing I didn't like was the loudness of the music in the lobby and the staff really needs to be friendlier. Also, it would be great to have housekeepers that speak English so when you ask a question they can answer you and not look like 'deers in headlights' The room was very spacious and decorated nicely, but there were some […] things that needed to be repaired(a hole in the ceiling in the bathroom, paint, etc) and they really need to vacuum. I loved the valet parking and the breakfast! Didn't like that the hotels does not have microwaves for the room. I had to go to the top floor to the fitness center to heat up something! Totally ridiculous!!!! And we picked a time when there were lots of kids in the hotel for some sporting event :-( Read more

Overall it was a good stay. The customer service is horrible!!! This was the first time I have stayed anywhere where service was this bad. They were not welcoming. When i asked a question they acted as though i was bothering them. I rate a 2 on customer service, but i was overall satisfied with the room & comfort of the bed.

The stay was great but the web site said that they had 4 restaurants and they only had one. THEY NEED TO UP DATE THEIR WEB SITE. Having 4 restaurants is one of the reasons that we booked there , it was dissappointing that they did'nt. They restaurant that they did have in the hotel was very good though.

The hotel is very nice as were all the employees. We had an issue upon check in where we went to our room late evening and the lights were on in the room and bathroom. It was very evident that someone had been on the bed, there was a washcloth lying on the bed, there was an opened bar of soap with the wrapper on the vanity and trash in the bathroom […] trash can and someone had used the toilet. It was obvious to us that an employee had quickly used the room for whatever reason and we were moved to another room. After unpacking, the next morning we found the safe wasn't working in our second room and they could not fix it so we had to be LOL! Ithoihjtyou had itmoved to a third room. This room had a better view and the employees were prompt and friendly addressing our concerns. We would stay again as the location is ideal and employees were great...other than the culprit that used the room before we checked in!! Read more

Loved the view from the room on the 23 rd floor. Check-in process was seamless, as well as, the help from the staff. Was able to get additional towels without any hassels. No charge for parking was a nice benefit as well.

The Renaissance Dallas would have been rated more highly had they not left a dirty towel from the previous room occupant thrown over the shower curtain in the bathroom! It made the cleanliness of the entire stay questionable. I had to turn back all the sheets, etc. You get the point. It ruined an otherwise fine stay.

Hotel is in a great location not far from anything although there isn't anything within walking distance. The hotel itself is shaped like a cylinder so the room size changes based upon where your room is at in the building. If you have a room at the ends of the hall, you're room is smaller and slightly curved due to curvature of the building although […] the room itself is still adequate. Biggest rooms will be toward center of hallway nearest elevators. Parking spaces are incredibly small- stripes are painted practically on top of each other so you will be so close to cars next to you that it can be hard to fully open your car doors sometimes. Helps to be a master parker to get your car in and out of the spaces. Service was good but not great. Staff was very helpful but sometimes slow. Overall I would recommend the hotel for anyone visiting Dallas. Read more

Nice hotel but I found some crumbs on the carpet next the windows. The beds were not so comfortable as I expected(this is 4 star hotel!). The room was kind of small and doesn't look luxurious at all. Overall we enjoyed the hotel - was there from Fri-Sun. Room was a little small, especially for several days stay. The pool was disappointing - only 5 lounge chairs, 3 tables with umbrelas and a few pot plants scattered around. There was plenty of room for more, they just don't provide them. However, I must say the pool was kept cool in this Texas heat. […] The entrance to the pool is in the fitness room, so you have to workout with an audience. Great people serving the restaurant and bar. Bar had several TVs which we enjoyed sitting and watching the Rangers. Maids were knocking on the door early every morning. First off, Milton is awesome. He works at the front desk and put my parents on the 25th floor with a city view. Doesn't sound like much, but there was a Mary Kay Convention in Dallas and at the hotel. So, Milton, you are a rock star!!! The room and view was great. My only complaint is about our dining experience on the last day my parents were in town. […] There were several open tables and I watched one hostess very slowly bus one table and then disappear for several minutes. The other two hostesses weren't any better. One spent more time chatting with the Mary Kay ladies and giving them free food in plastic bags than she did doing her job. My family and I (and about 20 others) stood waiting for over 20 minutes. It was very frustrating. We almost seated ourselves, but waited. We were finally seated and saw many more unhappy patrons sitting and waiting for food, drinks, and tables. We also watched a man complain to one of the hostesses about the poor service. She blamed it on them being busy, but like I mentioned earlier, there were several unbussed tables open. Other than that, things were great :) Read more

It is a shame that the Renaissance Dallas Hotel does not offer free wireless internet service when it is free at nearly all the lesser properties nearby. It was an extra expense & an annoyance to get online. I recommend prospective guests demand free internet before you make a reservation and go elsewhere if they don't accommodate, and maybe they will […] get the message. The entire hotel industry needs to wise up and learn that the wealthiest guests won't put up with continuing to get gouged on internet service. Read more
