"Pet Friendly mid way to Mill Valley"
The access to the outside and area to take the dogs was important to me. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was great and free breakfast and dog biscuits was more than I expected. I stayed in the same room on my way from Washington to California and back again. The Key access to the outside door gave me trouble both visits and the 11PM […] call from the front desk, that woke me from a sound sleep because another guest thought my room had the television on and up to high, wasn't to great. But, I preferred the phone call, to someone knocking on the door which would have made the dogs bark and then that person would have had a real reason to call the front desk. Check In was very organized. The staff were all very friendly. They definately try their hardest to make sure you have everything you need (like giving us information on the road conditions over the pass, even though we hadn't asked). We stayed here with our dog, and were welcomed. No pet fee was great and breakfast was included. So it was very inexpensive. […] Pool is closed during the off season, but the sauna was still open. The room wasn't fancy but well maintained. There's a good park to take the dog to play nearby and it's close to I-5, so it was very convenient. We will definately be coming back. My parents, my husband and I organized a road trip and chose to stay in Roseburg. We did a lot of research and review reading before we booked our hotels. The Windmill Inn had good reviews and a good rating on TripAdvisor so we felt confident in booking this hotel. But when we arrived and came into the hallway to our room, it smelled bad - a bit like […] a nursing home. Then we got to our room and it smelled like a wet dog and mould. We went to the front desk. They gave us another room to try, which smelt fine until we put the A/C on and it blew out a mould smell. We had no hopes of staying at the Windmill Inn.
