This is a multy building complex made up of several older motels. Our intial opinion when arriving was not a pleasant as we expected, however although the outside of some of the buildings looked old the rooms were surpisingly bright and clean. Hotel is very old. Rooms and bathrooms small but were clean. Internet did not work in room. No phones in rooms. Beware of extra parking fee per night not told here. The room I received was dated and felt dirty. The environment was noisy and the surroundings felt unsavory with the people who were next door; a lot of activity in and out and noise. I informed the front desk attendant and he was kind enough to change my room to a nicer room which felt much better but I was still unable to get WI-FI in the room and […] was told on day 1 that the connection was bad and you have to go outside. Hotel is actaully a series of cramped buildings with limited parking (@ $10/night). Lobby is even more cramped with disorganized staff covering so many duties they hardly have time to check in a guest. Breakfast in the morning is terrible, cheap, and unhealthy. There is hardly room to access the table of pre-packed food. Cell service was spotty - fine […] for my room but lacking in other places on the property. Don't get fooled by a discounted price. Room price is based on availability. I'd hate to pay the full rate. Only redeeming quality is the proximity of the boardwalk, less than 1/2 block. Right away, I was charge $10 for parking. Clerk showed me to my room. Nice amenities. First attempt at wacthing TV was interupted with a snowy picture. Tried to call front desk from phone in room. We constantly work on upgrading our rooms/amenities and recently changed all our TVs to Large Plasma TVs. Our guess is that you were visiting us during the TV transition time, when the new plasma TVs and remotes were being programmed. Also, we were changing our hotel telephone service provider for better quality, that is why phones were disconnected, but not taken out from the rooms yet. We pride ourselves on constantly improving our performance in order to better serve our customers and as you pointed out we immediately do anything in our power to please our guests. I was very pleased with my stay. It was only 1/2 block from the beach and it had a quaintness to it that reminded me of a cross between Venice, CA and South Beach, FL. The apartments were clean and well kept - and was intrigued by the labyrinth of the 5 different buildings connected with alleyways.
