The Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel occupies oceanfront real estate adjacent to Santa Monica Beach and two blocks from the Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica, Calif. This California hotel stands two blocks from the Santa Monica Convention Center and Third Street Promenade's shops, nightclubs and restaurants.
Hotel Features.
Glass ceilings, slender palm trees and curtains billowing with the ocean breeze create seaside ambience in the hotel's airy lobby. A poolside bar adjoins this Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel's expansive oceanfront outdoor pool and sundeck while providing guests ocean views. Amenities offered at the fitness center and day spa include a sauna, steam rooms, eight treatment rooms, a salon, personal training and yoga and Pilates classes. An on-site, 24-hour business center is staffed during business hours and offers computers with high-speed Internet access, printers, a fax machine and a photocopy machine. Wireless Internet access is available in the lobby, restaurant and at the pool. Ocean and Vine, the property's restaurant, serves fresh California coastal cuisine and houses a sushi bar. The restaurant offers dramatic ocean views and a stone fire pit. A fireside bar, Papillion, features plasma televisions, leather chairs, and tapas-style dishes.

The eight-story Santa Monica Beach Hotel offers 342 guestrooms, all with high-speed Internet access. Contemporary décor is inspired by coastal color schemes and most rooms feature modest step-out balconies. Beds feature goose-down duvets and pillows, 300-thread-count linens and padded tweed headboards. Bathrooms offer televisions, bathrobes, scales, and Lather bath amenities. All rooms are nonsmoking and offer cable television, CD players and three multi-line telephones.

ON arrival I was surprised to find that the room had scaffolding surrounding it but we needed to change for a meeting and so had to use it with the understanding that we would be switched in return.When we returned we found that our room had been upgraded and our baggage was waiting for us. My friend and I went to visit the area and our daughters for a week. We were very satisfied with the deluxe two queen bed room. Beds were very comfortable. Rooms more spacious than we thought they would be. They delivered a refrigerator to our room at no extra cost which significantly helped with overall food expenses. When we checked in they put us in a lower level room it was small and had a huge wall around our small patio. Went back to the front desk and asked for another room, they didn't have one available immediately but said if we wanted to wait they could move us. We had a great time at the Loews hotel. The location couldn't be beat - right on the beach and within walking distance to the Santa Monica Pier and 3rd Street Promenade. The hotel in general was beautiful and in a great location. The rooms were clean and looked like your average hotel. They were very timely with cleaning and restocking the room. The only draw back is there is a cost for everything. Valet only parking at $36/night and no free internet access. The chairs are all rattan with beautiful cushions and colorful and there are gas lit fire pits/bowls on the tables so at night it turns into this glowing oasis and you can sit and watch the Ferris wheel turn colors like your own private light show! The food prices are so reasonable its astonishing how you can eat fine cuisine at those low prices whether that be outside at the pool or inside at the restaurant which offers a Sunday buffet the best hands down I have ever seen.
