"NIce place but a few issues"

Hotel is very old, rooms were as well but they were clean and comfortable. Wife checks every hotel room thoroughly for bugs and stuff and this one was fine. They have a steakhouse inside and a cafe. "Good bang for the buck."

Have Stayed at this hotel many times because indoor pool is huge 40 x 60, but it was way to cold to use this time and the hot tub was out of order. The hotel is well maintained. You can see that it once was quite a grand hotel. It is huge and they seem to only maintain the Lobby, catering rooms and main areas, along with a section of rooms. I would recommend this hotel for anyone going to the car shows at Carlisle. It is in a great location and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I would NOT, however, recommend the restaurant Embers Steakhouse. The service was horrible, the food was cold (when we finally got it over an hour after we ordered). "Met my needs perfectly"
The Hotel is one level and has very long hallways. It reminded my kids of a hotel that would be used in a scary movie so we made a game out of that. The check-in staff at the Front desk was very nice and we had no problem with that process. This Hotel has a very large pool and the area it is in is covered so we were able to swim even though it was raining […] outside. The pool is also open until 11PM which was nice. I was a bit hesitant booking this hotel based on some of the reviews, but took the plunge because of price and location. Good thing I did, since I found the place quite acceptable, clean, tidy, even elegant. The lobby is big and gracious, the desk help was friendly and attentive, the room was ginormous, well-appointed and clean. "Would book again."
This Hotel was great for what we wanted-a base to use while we went to surrounding area atrractions. It's not some place that I would book if I planned to stay at the hotel a lot, but for us it was great. Not too far from Gettysburg and Hershey. Down the road a piece you'll find all the resturants and shops you need. Dunkin Doughnuts just a hop away […] for coffee in the morning and easy access to Interstate. The room itself was fine. Comfortable, quiet, and roomy, with the bonus of a refrigerator and microwave. Could have used more light, especially one on the desk. Was disappointed to pool didn't open until 9:30 but did get in a brief swim. "12 nights in one hotel"
The only problem I had with this hotel was the television they claim on there website to have premium channels and for a twelve night stay this was important to me, upon arriving I found they had very limited channels in sports and most common cable or satellite channels, but if you wanted to watch kiddy channels they had two nickolodeans some disney […] and a few other channels geared towards children no usa or golf channel and only espnu for sports, but plenty of kids channels and news.they had two showtime channels but I could not watch them because they were so distorted you could not stand to look at them, I have to go back there for work again shortly and this is the only thing that would keep me from staying there again. We stayed one night at Hotel Carlisle. Our room was very clean and quiet but smelled a bit musty when we arrived, presumably from being closed up. We turned on the AC unit and went out to dinner. When we returned it was much better. The room was clean and comfortable and included a microwave, fridge, coffeemaker, hairdryer, safe, and iron and ironing […] board. The steak restaurant at the hotel was out of our price range for this trip but there are several chain restaurants nearby. "Back Again for a visit"
The room was comfortable and clean. The only downside was the absence of tissues and regular coffee (the pot was there as was decaffinated coffee). I asked the hotel clerk for both but was told they were out. We didn't get any tissues during the four days we were there. The cleaning staff managed to come up with a couple packets of coffee with made […] the mornings easier to start. Don't know how you could be out of tissue and not get any for four days.
