Although the hotel website says rooms are equipped with microwaves and refrigerators. Toilet in my room was broken, water keeps running, have to leave the lid open and shut off water every time I use it.

Door latch broken on first room assigned. The advertised wi-fi in every room did not extend to our room and hallway. The toilet had not been cleaned prior to check-in. No tissues in room (was told their shipment had not come in). The bed was comfortable and the room was comfortable.

The hotel was conveniently located for access to the Carlisle fairgrounds and restaurants. The check-in was significantly delayed due to the fact that only one person was at the desk to handle incoming calls, the check-in of guests and answer questions of guests. The clerk did good job given the lack of help and the check in system the hotel used. When I arrived in my room one of the two beds was unmade. I went to the front desk and after another extensive wait was assigned another room. The second room was clean and had clean linens and towels. On the morning of our second day there was no hot water for all the rooms in the section of the hotel were we were staying, therefore no shower. Since you took the time to ask I thought you would like to know. I realize things can happen. However,a second person and extra available staff for a hotel as large as the Hotel Carlisle is inexcusable. Read more

None of the lamps were plugged in when I arrived, nor was the TV. The carriage house rooms were separate from the main hotel, which was OK. Thie building in general was musty smelling, although the room was not. The furnishings were very out dated and "beat". The hotel itself is very nice but the room was lacking. First, the refrigerator was not at all cold. The toiletries that were supposed to be present consisted of a couple packets of shampoo and a few mini bars of cheap soap. I could write a book but the 4 biggest problems : #1 The door locks from outside the building into the hallway did not work - which meant if there wasnt another guest to open the door from the inside we had to walk 10/12 minutes to go in through the main entrance. #2 At one point the door lock into our room stopped working. Multiple employees tried […] to open it with different key cards, until the maintenance staff had to break in (luckily we were due to check out in a few hours so we just packed up and got out of there) #3 My 3 year old had an accident and peed the bed on our 1st night. I called the desk and reported this at 8 am and requested new bedding. I stripped the bed and put the soiled linens in a pile on the floor. Luckily, it didnt leak through to the mattress since they dont use protector pads. When we got back to our room at 11pm there were no clean linens! The dirty blanket was folded and stuck in the closet for the next customer, sheets were gone! When I called the desk they said they didnt have any spares! They also took the dirty towels and didnt leave any clean ones! #4 - not as bad as the 1st 3...but the restaurant is out of business. We have 2 small children and intended on eating dinner at the hotel instead of having the pack them up and lug them out to a restaurant...we intentionally chose a hotel w a restaurant for this purpose. Booked this hotel during our family vacation just to stay at a hotel and swim for a day. Pics of pool on website were beautiful, but very misleading. Pool is very small!!!! This hotel has some nice facilities, but it has seen better days. The hallways are a bit musty. The room I was given could not be accessed with the key card, so a trek back to the front desk was required. Same problem with the new card! So they gave me a different room. The facility had a musty smell that hit you as soon as you entered. There was no ice bucket in the room. When the front desk was advised the reply was "I'll see if housekeeping can find you one" We never got a ice bucket nor a call back. Only one of the ice machines had ice. If I am ever in the Carlisle, Pa. area I would NOT stay there.

I was looking for a place to stay the night to break up our trip, wanted a Hotel with a Pool for the kids, when we got there the pool was cold the heater was not working and it said they had a hot tub it was not even filled, there was a musty smell threw the Hotel. I stayed there with my daughter for 6 days as I had already prepaid. I immediately reported the light outside of my room as burned out and it was finally replaced the day before I checked out. I also reported my remote control for the TV was not working correctly again there was one manager that actually took heart. When I stayed the place was freezing since the only places with heat are the rooms, and only once you get in your room and turn the heat on. The exercise room leaves quite a bit to be desired. The treadmill looked dangerous to operate. It took me an hour to get myself off the ice. The rooms were dark and I couldn't have put makeup on in the bathroom, either. Mentioned each day--no improvement. 2 guests in room! --coffee maker did not work. Got it fixed--only to have plastic drinking cups available for the coffee! --several electrical outlets were not useable. --shower […] spigot is broken and barely functional.. --only got 1 shampoo packet each day!(2 guests!) --tried to leave message with mangager on phone and got recording saying she would be absent until 19 Aug.-- call made on 28 Aug!! This hotel has a hot water problem. We had to have cold showers the night we arrived and the next morning. I complained and was told they would let maintenance know on Monday. Since I got their Thursday night I decided to check out because I don't know about anyone else but hot water is essential component to having a hot shower.
