Right as you come into Seaside hotel is easy to find. Passes were provided to use the Municipal pool facilities which are extremely nice: spa; warm pool; lap pool; slide; rope swing. You will not have any trouble finding this place because it is literally the first thing you see as you are rolling into town from 101. (Right hand side of street, assuming you took Hwy 26 from Portland.) The beds were super comfortable with nice crisp whitel linens and comforter encased in fresh white sheets. The facility was clean and comfortable but understaffed. They need to have someone available to address noise complaints in person rather than by a phone call from the front desk. I think other reviews I have seen for this hotel have underrated it. It is true that it is not in the middle of town or right on the beach--but that is why it is cheaper. I got a room with two queen beds, which was not available at other inexpensive hotels, and much, much more expensive elsewhere. "Convenient to Seaside Beach and nearby Astoria"
Staff at this Seaside location were pleasant and efficient. The name of the hotel had just changed from Microtel to Guest House Inn and the staff appeared to be adapting well and eager to please guests within their new rules. The main lobby and continental breakfast areas were clean and professional looking. Wi-fi connection worked quite well and adequate […] parking was available. The overall location is just a few minutes from the beach, grocery stores, restaurants. The rate was very competitive, .However if you want a microwave or fridge in the room, you will have to pay extra. Our bed mattresses were worn out and sagged significantly which made sleeping during our 4-day stay uncomfortable. They needed replacing long ago. Our other concern was that we asked for the 3rd (top) floor specifically, and we were instead, sandwiched into the 2nd floor, so guests who had small children that ran around the rooms and halls above and next to us disturbed us with shrieking voices well past 10:30 p.m. each night. Of course, the parents of those children were to blame, but the thin walls did not help. The hotel accepts dogs and we saw a few well-mannered dogs and their owners, but never heard a peep or bark from the animals. Despite the friendly staff and overall cleanliness of the hotel, the inadequate sound-proofing and sub-standard saggy mattress will prevent us from staying at this location again. we had a hard time finding the hotel. The name has changed. we found the rooms pleasent with lots of pillows and very crisp sheets. Bathroom was clean and well stocked. From the old mattresses, to the crowdedness of the room (2 Queens smashed into a very small room) we were very uncomfortable, motel needs much work to update it and make it nice again for visitors.
