The desk clerk Cyle was very pleasant as well as very helpful in regards to good places to eat. You will not have any trouble finding this place because it is literally the first thing you see as you are rolling into town from 101. (Right hand side of street, assuming you took Hwy 26 from Portland.) The beds were super comfortable with nice crisp whitel linens and comforter encased in fresh white sheets. "Excellent value, great service"
I'm confused by some of the other reviews of this hotel, our room was clean, quiet, and the staff was wonderful. We did not find the room small, it was on par with other places we've stayed. We were in the queen/sleeper sofa bedroom, which also had a little island with a microwave, sink, and fridge, ideal for traveling with children. This isn't a resort […] style hotel with all of the amenities, so if that's what you're wanting stay somewhere else. It is very good for "drop and go" traveling families and budget travelers as it is right on 101 and priced right for that area. I think a lot of the reviews indicate that this isn't a very walkable area, but we did walk all over Seaside. We were able to walk from the hotel to the promenade then up Broadway but it is about 3 and a half miles round trip (including walking up and back down Broadway) so not for the faint of heart. There is a little grocery store on U street and it's about half a mile to the beach, so it is well located. You do have to walk a short distance up 101 (just over a tenth of a mile), but there is a traffic signal at U St. which makes crossing a snap. All in all, we enjoyed our stay. The reception was extremely helpful and professional. The location was only a mile from Seaside convention center where I attended a conference. The kitchenette was simple but had everything to make a wholesome breakfast and beverages (juice, coffee, tea and hot chocolate) were always available. I enjoyed bringing my dog for only an additional $10 a […] night and there was a park like area in the back I could take him for a walk. No fitness center or pool available on the premises but even better- the receptionist would write a day pass to the community fitness center if you asked for one. Overall, it was a great experience for me and I plan on coming back. "Micro but comfortable"
This tiny one queen bed room suited us fine for a one night stay in this oceanside tourist town. Though nowhere near the beach it was on the main drive through town and easy to find. The staff was friendly and the simple breakfast choices were satisfactory. The only complaint is a minor one..the room could have used a new TV. I had read a few reviews from unhappy guests. I do not understand it. The motel was clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff all very friendly. No, we didn't get our sheets turned down, no mints on the pillow, no room service.. instead we got a great room at a very, VERY reasonable price and used the savings to GO and see the stuff we came to see. This […] motel is pet friendly, and it seemed at least half the guests indeed had a dog, (including us). Either everyone was very good about pet clean-up, or the staff made sure it was done, I just know it was clean outside too, with picnic tables in the back, and a nice lil steak house right next door for dog friendly meals.
