"Nasty old hotel"

"If you really need a hotel cheap..."
Continental breakfast: not the first day we stayed. We never went back to try it after we were stiffed the first time. Rooms: don't get the two doubles in the room, it is so small that two people can not walk at the same time. Cleanliness: unless you like spider webs Highlights: If you get the family room with 2 beds and sleeper sofa the space situation […] gets better. Spend the extra ten bucks, it's night and day Mexican restaurant attached to hotel. It's the bomb!! We went there everyday for breakfast and dinner, but thru close pretty early. "Extremely disappointed"
I was told the motel was recently renovated and would hate to see what it looked like before. We were told we would have nonsmoking rooms and walked in to rooms reeking of smoke. "Paper thin Walls"
My experience at the hotel was horrible, the walls are paper thin, the people next door were drunk and extremely loud, the walls are so thin I could hear their cell phone ring and all their converstions and the tv. "Run away as quickly as possible!!!!"
The pictures were extremely deceiving. The sheets and towels had what appeared to be black oil grease on them. The door to the outside was off it's hinge. The neighbor had a barking dog. By 2AM I had had enough so I contacted the front desk. I was told there was nothing they could do about it since the owners of the dog were not in the room. This was a terrible room and I will never stay here again. The air conditioning, vanity light and shower did not work. The room had a nasty odor to it and was stained and dirty. I did not even try the breakfast because the lobby had a stench about it as well. Very disappointed in service. Check-in Thurs. 10, 2012 Friday the 11 we left the room for the day,.10:30 a.m..during which time house keeping was to clean our room. "Avoid if possible!"
This motel is really bad. About its only redeeming factor was the front desk employees. Friendly but without any authority to solve problems. The room is tired, old - what I expected though for a budget. However, the lack of any premium channel, bright orange flashing light on the phone (even though all messages were cleared - I just unplugged it), […] free Internet that did not work and was needed - these were things I didn't expect. Drunk loud neighbors, horns honking at 2:30 am outside my door. Musty smell - inability to get someone to answer a phone or to get any help when I did. No 24 hr customer service with HOJO. This motel (NOT Hotel) was absolutely disgusting!! The carpet in room was old, stained, and smelly - I was afraid to walk barefoot. The bathroom was moldy and in need of major re-conditioning and the beds were so uncomfortable. We were placed in the very rear of the motel where the view was of iindustrial equipment. "An unfortunate stay"
As I entered the room I was greeted with greated pleasure as the coldness from the air conditioner cut right thru the horrible humidty of the weather outside. However that was about the only positive about my stay. As I turn on the faucet, to brush my teeth , the water that came out was BLACK!!! Luckily I took an extra toothbrush. I stood over the toilet to relieve myself from a 7 hour drive when I go to flush the toilet I felt water rushing toward my feet. "Stay Away"
I'm OK with no frills but this place is bad. The AC was not on when I checked in (>100 outside) so I turned it on and left for dinner. Came back a few hours later and the room was still hot. The AC could not keep up. I asked for a fan which they did not have and they offered to switch rooms for one that had "good AC". The AC was not on when I entered […] the second room and was cooling no better than the first. Switched rooms again (third room now) to one they said was confirmed "cold" and it was about the same as the first room. Since it was the weekend before the start of school at A&M and no other hotel had any vacancy I had no choice but to sit and sweat. By ~11 PM the room was bearable. The directions I was given were not very accurate. It may have been that it was dark, but hotel was difficult to find, not well lit. When we checked in, it seemed like they were not expecting us despite my calling ahead letting them know it was going to be close to 10pm before we arrived. Once getting to our room, it felt a little unsafe, in a somewhat […] unoccupied section of the property. It seemed as though the room had nit been occupied in some time because once we opened the door it smelled and was very hot-air conditioning was not on. It was not very clean or appealing. There were also a few insects crawling around, blankets were itchy, rough. One of the door locks was broken. Some if the linens seemed yellowed with age. Overall, the entire stay, even though we were only there for a total of 9 hours, was disappointing for the price I paid. I am not sure what was going on in College Station that weekend, but this was the only hotel available in the price range I wanted for a short stay of less than 24 hours. I would not recommend this hotel to any one. I have stayed in 4 different ones since my son started college there last August, and this one was the worst so far. "This is a dump"
I realize that by process of elimination, you have to stay SOMEWHERE on home-game weekends, but this place is a dump. You feel dirty when you walk into the room. You don't want to get in bed becuase it looks so dirty. The next morning, the manager was literally waiting outside my room trying to get in to start cleaning (this is WAY before the required […] check out time).
