Baymont Inn & Suites - Southfield/ Detroit

Location was strange because there was no street sign to indicate where to turn. Also no good signage, hotel couldn't be spotted from main street. But over all, the service was great, friendly staff, room was super clean and smelled fresh. Vending maching is $2 for each item, thought that was pricy but I would definitely stay there again.

The room that I stayed in had a phone that did not work. The blow dryer only worked for seconds at a time. There was no toilet tissue in the room. My stay was awful, no towels the whole trip. There was many families upset with this Baymont. Ive stayed at Baymont hotels before and did have any problems. They need to step everything up from customer service to clean rooms and have enough resoures for your guests.

The overall stay was nice, rooms were clean, breakfast was good and location was great for the purpose of the trip. The only issue was the refreshing of the towels there was two people in the room not one.

They were very accomidating to all our needs opened the pool area early for us because we got in late after our event and was unable to use otherwise. I did ask for a fridge and microwave in both rooms but got in one of our rooms and we were put close together so wasnt a problem or I would have said something. The number one plus for this Hampton Inn is how helpful and accommodating the staff is. We asked for a refrigerator in our room and were told all of them were currently in use. The next day, one was brought to the room. Another time, we came back to the room before it had been serviced. The woman doing the work saw that and asked if we wanted her to […] take care of our room. We did, and she interrupted the one she was working on to do ours. The location can be a bit tricky to find. Just follow the directions on reservation confirmation since they are specific and accurate. Typical comfortable but not luxurious Hampton Inn rooms. This hotel was great for the price. I would definitely stay again, and also recommend it to a friend. The hot breakfast was ok if you eat pork. There's a great bar and grill to party at on the weekends about a mile away. My only complaint is that the location is hard to find using a GPS device. Overall, I rate this as a great experience.

For it to be low in price, this hotel offered everything I need. The front desk staff was very nice the room was pretty clean and the surrounding area was very nice. It's close to shopping and great eateries. It's about 30 minutes from downtown. The only downside they are doing some construction to the roads so you kind of have to manevur around that, […] but other than that, getting around was not bad. The only think I didn't like was that I did find a nail of some sort on the comforter and there was no real closet in the room. Howver, for a weekend stay, it was not a deal breaker.
