"Friday Night in the Gaslamp District San Diego"
Only negatives were the non view from our third floor King Suite, next to the gym. Another negative was awaking with a horrible hangover (obviously from having too much fun the night before) and only being able to extend checkout til noon! Overall a good place to stay. Easy stroll to nearby restaurants and the fire pits at the fourth floor bar are nice. The bar employees were a little wrapped up in their own world and not paying attention but that's the nature of 20 somethings. Hard Rock is in a great location and transforms into a night club/bar scene at night with the option of bottle service. Some rooms can be a bit noisy at night depending on where your room is. Mine was fine but I can sleep through anything. The cushions in the downstairs bar were in need of replacement as they were cracked. The hotel is clean and trendy and fun on party weekends. The location is great. We parked across the street at the Ace parking lot because it was much cheaper than the hotel parking. HRHSD is a very nice hotel and has everything a guest could need...except for an ice machine! I was a guest on the second floor and had to traverse to the 5th floor or higher to gain access to an ice machine, and the problem there is that you don't have access with your room key unless you happen to have a room on that floor! you have to wait for another […] guest who is hopefully headed 5 or higher and proceed to stalk them. There is a mini fridge in the room, but i'm afraid to touch anything in there for fear of being charged for the $7 water or $35 mini of Grey Goose.
