San Diego’s waterfront airport lies northwest of downtown, which is home to the San Diego Convention Center, PetCo Park stadium, and the Gaslamp Quarter’s. That historic neighborhood’s restaurants and bars are the hub of the city’s nightlife. Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo form a green swath in this urban jungle. Offshore, Coronado Island offers postcard views of the city skyline.

Awsome. Previously stayed at the HardRock across the street and The Omni is 100 times better than them. I will definately stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent location in San Diego"
This hotel is the best location in San Diego for taking in Padres Games, walking along the bay, going downtown to the Gaslamp. We went to 3 games. The access from the hotel was the best I've ever experienced. Even on a giveaway day you can access from the sky bridge.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellence"
The customer service was excellent. We had vallet parking and anytime we got in the car we found 2 cold water bottles were placed in the cup holders ready for us. Also in the afternoon, they brought us some cookies and milk in a very nice plate for snack to our room. I found that was very nice even though it was just a little thing. Room was very clean […] and smell good. The view from the room is beautiful. We could see the town and the water from the room. It was wonderful. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Hotel - Great Management - Great Location"
We spend a few days in San Diego at the Omni. Could not have asked for a nicer hotel. Spending some leisure time, the fact that the Omni is a business hotel did not matter. All the facilities one would want. Beautiful rooms. One night our next door neighbors were very loud at 2 a.m. The following morning, management called to apologize and offered our […] family free breakfast at the hotel. "Great Escape!"
Loved our time at the hotel so much that we extended our stay another day and night. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Our time by the pool was only enhanced by the delightful service. We will definitely go back!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great hotel. Theres a commuter rail but the windows are good. Just let them know and they'll give you a room facing the stadium instead of the water. Which is awesome. Excellent service and location!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Omni San Diego- only if you love the ballpark!"
Nice clean, very comfortable hotel, with fabulous staff. Weird glass bathroom door creates too much light in the bedroom if you are trying to sleep when someone goes in there. Since it is at Petco Park, lots of traffic jams around the hotel and the garage parking prices go up at game time. The train was right outside our window, so that was a nuisance, […] and when we sat outside on the patio for happy hour, the drunk was passed out on the sidewalk across from our table, so no, would not stay here again. "sanctuary"
My mom enjoys old school warmth and intimacy in hotels. I appreciate up-to-date technology and amenities along with a good location. The Omni, San Diego, give us both what we appreciate. This is a thoroughly modern hotel that offers a sanctuary of warmth and convenience in navigating downtown San Diego and the waterfront. The views from the 6th floor […] pool area are lovely. The service is excellent. We prefer the higher floors for the views and to muffle the train sounds below. For service, value and charm, the Omni has it all. Cheers. Very nice. The bathroom sliding door was not private enough.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"NOISE"
The locaton was fine. One key issue, the constant loud music from the Hard Rock Hotel. Although I was on the 21 st floor, I could still hear the music every single nite.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect for our stay"
Our trip was to enjoy a few Padres games. This hotel is ideal if you are wanting to be close to the park or Gaslamp. Would def stay the again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"The Omni is Lovely"
The Omni offers a lovely hotel that is near the Convention Center, the Seaport Village, and the Gaslamp Quarter. The Gaslamp Quarter is fine by day but not particularly a gentle place to be at night. The Bayfront Hilton charges $15 for the use of their gym. The Omni is free. I'm a sound sleeper so the complaints about the noise from the railway didn't […] concern me. Also, my room was on the very top floor of the hotel which reduced the sound. The Omni was most welcoming to me and my Mom as she celebrated her 80th birthday. The facility is calming and lovely. The pool and deck area is particularly enjoyable. The Omni San Francisco is also a wonderfully situated hotel and my personal favorite in the bay area. Omni is superb. "Omni-Very convenient for ballpark and GasLamp"
Location is a top feature of this hotel. Other reviews cited noise but they must not have been city dwellers and we found no noise problem for a room on the 6th floor. I would agree with the comment about the unusual bathroom door and that is the reason for the downgrade on what was otherwise a "5" for comfort. The bathroom door does not close tightly […] allowing sounds and... out, so you don't want to share a room here with someone who you don't already know well. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Omni Hotel San Diego"
I would recommend this hotel to anyone I know, great location, clean, great service etc. The Mc Ormick & Schmick resttaurant isn't great however- overpriced and very empty when we visited. Other than that a superb hotel all round. The staff in particular were great as was service etc. The location has to be one of the best in the city.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"HOTEL OMNI Y VACACIONES FAMILIARES"
EL HOTEL ESTA BIEN UBICADO Y LAS HABITACIONES SON RAZONABLEMENTE AMPLIAS. EL PERSONAL ES MUY AMIGABLE Y SE ESFUERZAN POR PRESTAR UN BUEN SERVICIO. DESGRACIADAMENTE, LAS HABITACIONES SON UN POCO RUIDOSAS Y A VECES SE ESCUCHA EL RUIDO DE OTRAS HABITACIONES POR EL SISTEMA DE AIRE ACONDICIONADO.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Genuine Hotels.com guest review
