"Amazing room, very clean"
I came here for a business trip and enjoyed my stay. I would definitely have to give this a 5 star rating. I felt rested and rejuvenated. I will certainly stay here again in the future.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The hotel amenities are exquisite. The staff is exceptional. It is a luxury experience in every way and easy walking to many wonderful restaurants. So this is only nitpicking: for the price, I would have expected a voucher for the parking garage and free in-room wi-fi.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Closer to convention center than Marriott!"
I was in town for a conference at the convention center, and found the Omni supremely convenient, as it was just across the street and on the way to all the delicious offerings of the Gaslamp district. And of course, the well-kept rooms and great views left nothing to be desired. Had a great stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Omni @ San Diego - all business!"
In my opinion, you cannot go wrong with the Omni Hotel: it's in a great location (close to San Diego Convention Center, where I was attending a conference) and the service is excellent. My room was very comfortable - so much so that I ordered room service twice! The only two comments were the hallway outside my room had a slight musty smell and I could […] hear the guests in the adjacent room very clearly through the connecting door. Not a big deal however, as I will return and stay in the Omni the next time I attend a convention in San Diego. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"The Omni--Full of Minor Inconveniences"
Overall this hotel was decent -- good location, clean, etc. But my stay was marred with small inconveniences; nothing so big that I felt I needed to complain and change rooms, but inconvenient nonetheless. I had a split booking, so when I checked in I asked if I could keep the same room for my entire stay; they agreed and I was happy. But I still received […] my checkout card on the day I was supposed to change rooms, and I got my keycards reactivated that morning. Then, later that day, the cards stop working again. Other things that were kind of annoying: -My room was on the 5th floor, right next to train tracks. The train ran infrequently, but I still heard the horn a few times during my 5 night stay. There was also a jackhammer at 8:00am on my last day there. -The drapes didn't have overlapping tracks, so there was a perpetual sliver of light coming through. -The DVD player's sound didn't work intermittently. -There was no overhead light and only one outlet outside of the bathroom, and I had to unplug the sole standing lamp to plug in my computer and cell charger at the same time. -There were double doors between the elevators and the hallway to my room that didn't stay open on their own; it was hard to get my suitcase through them by myself. -There was nowhere to hang the handtowels in the bathroom. -The bathroom didn't have a fan and was not sound-proof at all. That said, the best part of my stay was actually the maid service. They were wonderful and very respectful of my things (I left my toothbrush on the sink and came back to it laying on a clean towel on the vanity). Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Omni San Diego - hop, skip & jump from convention"
I was attended a conference at the convention center and was happy I chose the Omni. Great comfortable details like a robe and great toiletries. Helpful staff, super clean room. I would definitely choose the Omni again. Only slight downside is that there's a lot of restaurants very nearby, but I didn't find drugstores or grocery stores.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Staff Rocks!"

"Great location, close to transportation, food, etc"
My husband was attending a conference at the Convention Center and another hotel was the preferred hotel. When I called to book the preferred hotel was not available for consecutive nights, I saw that that Omni was close to the Convention Center and it was much more convenient and the price was much better also! The staff is great and friendly, including […] the maid service! The hotel has the McCormick & Schmick Restaurant for meals and a Starbucks, but there are a lot of choices as soon as you walk outside. The trolley is across the street and getting around is very easy in San Diego. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Beautiful but noisy and expensive!"
This hotel is beautiful and is really close to everything in Gaslamp District. BUT, there are railroad tracks right outside that you can hear at all hours. The walls are really thin and you can hear your neighbors right next door. To park there you have to pay either $30-$36 a day! You also have to pay $10 for internet service per day as well. So you […] make the call if it's worth your time or not. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient walking location"
I stayed at the hotel for a conference at the convention center, which is conveniently located just accross the street. Also, the hotel is nicely located right at a stop of the trolley and is just at one end of the gas-lamp district, so excellent restaurants are abundant within easy walking distance. Free wireless when signing up for (for free) for […] their perferred guest program. View out of the room was not overly impressive, there was no balcony either. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"The place to be when in San Diego!"
Great location especially when attending a conference in San Diego. Great restaurant on the first floor, nice bar on the 6th floor by the pool and great restaurants surrounding the hotel to get a good steak. The Padres stadium is right next door and yet access to the hotel is fairly easy. I cant say enough about customer service at this hotel! I enjoyed […] my stay and would choose it again! "A Baseball Fan's Dream Hotel"
The Omni is a premier location for any Padres or Major League Baseball fan. Located a short 100 yard walk across a skybridge, the hotel is literally connected to Petco Park, home of the San Diego Padres. The rooms were very comfortable, the service impeccable, and the location in regards to public transportation and to incredible dining opportunities […] ... well we gained a pound or two but willingly and without guilt!! "OMNI San Diego - A great hotel with central locati"
I recently stayed at the OMNI San Diego and was thoroughly impressed. The hotel is vibrant and the service was outstanding. In particular, the restaurant (McCormick and Schmick's) is outstanding as well. Overall, great experience. It is convenient to both the convention center and the gaslamp district - everything easy to walk to.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

They would have to try much much harder if they didn't have meeting attendees to fill their rooms. No attention to detail!!!!!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Omni San Diego - highly recommended"

"PERFECT in every way!!"
This is a fabulous hotel!! Location, location, location!! We stayed for 6 days. We were there for a convention and the hotel is right across the street from the convention center and within walking distance to the Gas Lamp District. The hotel staff was absolutly amazing!! Very helpful, with everyhting from recommendations to getting us taxis, making […] sure every need and want was taken care of! When calling down to the front desk from our rooms they would always answer the phone cheerfully and call us by our names (they even pronounced them correctly)!! Rooms were very clean, comfortable and quiet. Pool area was great with lots of sun! Will not stay anywhere else whenever we travel to San Diego in the future!! This hotel should be very proud of it's facility and staff from the top down! In this day and age where customer service seems to be lacking, someone at this hotel is communicating to their staff that it is everything! Finally...The coffee shop in the hotel has the most amazing scones you will ever eat! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very impressive!"
With one exception, I found the Omni to be good value and an exceptional hotel for convenience and service. I needed 3 things: proximity to tthe Convention Center, Petco Field and good restaurants. All were less than 5 minutes from hotel front door. I was not as happy with McCormick & Schmidt restaurant. I found it very overpriced with a middling menu […] and service that was poor at best. I would recommend the hotel to anyone...but not the restaurant. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Location was great-right at the tip of the Gaslamp District and steps away from Seaport Village, staff was very friendly and helpful. My ONLY complaint was the water pressure and temperature. Other than that, I would defintely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
