"Poor maintenance"
I agree with the other unpleasant reviews. Food was overpriced and taste horrible. Room had an awful odor. Sheets were not changed prior to check in. Had to request for clean linens & pillowcases and had to change the sheets myself, which I shouldn't have to do. Requested for extra pillows and the items provided were dirty. Bathroom counter was falling […] apart and could fall any minute. Molds and mildew in the shower area. Toilet was not cleaned properly and thoroughly. Towels did not smell fresh and as if no laundry detergent and fabric softener were used when they are washed. No decent restaurants within walking distance. "I'm not very picky, but seriously!!!"
I used to stay here when it was The Woodfin and it was always a great experience. I have since returned and it has been taken over by the Hyatt, definitely not the same level of service. There were a few things I wasn't satisfied with. 1. The tv seem like they are from 1990 2. In the morning maid knocked on the door to clean the room, we said we will […] be out in 10 minutes (we were out in 5) and when we returned the room hadn't been touched. 3rd and most frustrating. "Not what it used to be"
I travel extensively for both personal and business. I one time I was staying at this property, formerly the Woodfin Suites since 9/2005. I arrived and was told my room was ready. When I arrived to my room, a baby was screaming at the top of his/her lungs and this was not the worst part. I specifically paid for a suite as I needed a refrigerator to […] store food. I called the front desk and spoke with Christine, who answered my questions and addressed my concerns in what I perceived a condescending tone. She indicated there were no suites available and that I would have to wait 15-20 minutes for an update. I decided to walk to the lobby with my belongings. I was told again by Christine that there were no rooms available and that she could cancel my "reservation" and refund my money. I would have been out of luck. I requested to speak with the supervisor on site, Cori. After waiting several minutes, Cori came out and assisted me. I was assigned room 189. HORRIBLE! The room smelled like mildew and mold! The shower curtain smelled horribly, the shower had orange and black mildew and mold, the toilet was not thoroughly clean. Not a great experience and I will NOT be returning.
