this was the only hotel within my price range close to the gaslamp quarter/downtown with no bugs in customer reviews so i decided to give it a shot. stayed a few nights here with no major problems. the type of room i wanted was unavailable; wanted a single king bedroom but had to settle for a double queen bedroom which was not too big of a deal but […] did feel a little cramped. room was clean and tidy but there was a little mold in the bathroom. hotel staff was ok (neither overly friendly nor rude). hotel is located in a decent location; just a few minutes walk to little italy and about a mile from the gaslamp quarter. It was very appropriate for the price. I only stayed one day but the staff still made us feel very comforted and met all of our accomodations. We arranged for a shuttle to and from the airport with no problem which saved money on a cab.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good choice under certain conditions"
I had read a lot of hotel reviews on hotels.com before booking, San Diego seems to have a lot of places which receive mixed reviews for various reasons. The Days Inn is close to the Amtrak station, and downtown. We received a free upgrade to a nice, large room that included a sofa. The room was clean and in good shape. The area is noisy due to the proximity […] to the airport and the rail tracks, but we managed to sleep quite well using earplugs. The breakfast is not great but OK.
