This Days Inn looks recently remodelled, with new showers, fixtures, and paint. The room was very clean, and was located just below Little Italy. There was construction very nearby, which caused for annoyance during the day, and the train runs very close behind as well. However, the noise level isn't bad (noticeable, but not "loud"). Location was very convenient. Close to Little Italy & Gaslamp areas. We used bus/tram first few days and it is close to stops for both of these. Rented a car for a couple of days at the end of our stay and it is super close to the airport rental facilities and a gas station right there for fill-up before returning car. Also convenient for Interstate […] access. Hotel was clean and well kept for its age. Staff were excellent. Needs some upgrade - bed was uncomfortable, room smelled a little musty, fridge kicking on was noisy, toilet ran but an easy fix. We chose this hotel because we were flying in and going on a cruise the next day. They have free shuttles to the airport and the cruise harbor. The staff was very helpful and kind. I had lost my boarding pass for the ship and they let me use the office computer and printer to make new ones. We walked to a nice Italian restaurant recommended my one […] of the reception staff. The room was comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was an assortment of cereals, juices, breads to toast, sweet rolls and fresh fruit. We stayed here twice - one night before cruise and one night after we returned. We were back quite early - about 11am and they let us in our room right away. Located in front of a "Harbor" when we got there the view was really disappointing. Not so much a view as more of a construction site. They were developing something n front of the hotel so you could barely just see the bay. They had a small lobby which also substituted as their breakfast room, or not so much a breakfast room as more of a side space […] with tables and chairs. The room we stayed in was by far the worst of my stay in America. The room smelt like a smoking room even though it said "Non Smoking Room" and the bed didn't feel as clean. They said it had cable tv but the TV was as basic as anything. We came back one day with our door room closed but not pulled closed so the cleaners didn't do their job properly. Dan Diego is a lovely part of California and the hotel is situated in exactly the right place for transport and just ambling down to the quayside and San Diego Bay. Note: Go to Anthony's for lunch or dinner - ab fab - and the chowder is fantastic. Back at the hotel, the room was spacious because of the use of the furnishings ie. flat screen tv on the […] wall and low yet very adequate drawer units, so it felt really "open plan". Unfortunately, there are a number of things to highlight to any potential visitor to this hotel. The 2 beds were very uncomfortable and were fitted with plastic mattress protectors which made it both noisy and really hot, which is absolutely crazy for temperatures in San Diego in August! As a result, air con was required to cool the room at night but the unit was so loud that it had to be turned off. The 4 settings all appeared to be the same so there was no "low or quiet option" when it was really needed. In addition, the train tracks are very close by and you can hear every "toot n whistle". You can also hear the water system when other guests use their facilities and you can also hear them walking around should your room be on the ground or second floor. Our bath/shower had brown water stains which is a major "no no" and we were provided with only bath towels. In this day and age, bath sheets should be standard at all times. Hotel exterior well presented, room a little dull & furniture dated but serviceable & comfortable. Nothing to complain about. Airport & train noise expected to be a bit of a nuisance but was negligible inside the room. Able to walk to Midway & transport stops & back even with a dicky knee. Breakfast was ample & better than expected.

Me pareció muy buena, pues era la ubicación perfecta para accesar al embarcadero de botes, a donde iba, y a un paso de Little Italy. El único inconveniente es que mi habitación daba a la parte trasera por donde pasa el troley, y lo oía pasar cada media hora.

Hotel ist sehr zweckmässig. Personal freundlich. Allerdings lagen die Restaurants etc. doch alle etwas weiter weg als wir erwartet haben. Aber so weit angenehm, kleines, einfaches Frühstück erhältlich.

La ubicacion es excelente. Estuve 4 dias y por el precio la ubicacion es muy buena, sin embargo siguie siendo caro para el tipo de hotel (motel) que es. Cuarto de buen tamaño, camada comoda limpieza mas o menos bien.
