We stayed for one night. Thank goodness we did. We came there to park and it was so narrow only four parking lanes and then you have to park in the garage thats even worse. All the cars were close together and inside the hotel hallways it had an odd smell that our whole family didn't like. Would not recommend this

The hotel was nicer than I expected for the price. Continental breakfast was not bad either. The only thing I did not care for was the parking stalls were very small and tight and I have a small car but hey it was free parking so I can't complain much. Just a few miles away from the beach and bars made it convenient to get there quickly.

I used your hotel as it was quite convenient for me with access to freeway for getting to work. The room was quite adequate and very clean. The chair at the desk however needed to be re-upholstered. It was pretty nice. We got it as a "secret hotel" and didn't know what to expect, but the hotel was newly renovated. This was a pleasant stay. Breakfast is pretty good with cheese omlettes, waffles, sausage, biscuits, gravy, cereal, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, toast, muffins, juices and milk. Rooms are a little small as we are a family of four but they are recently remodeled.

Everything you'd expect from a 2-3 star hotel. The immediate neighborhood is not exciting, but Mission / Pacific Beach is within a 10 minutes drive (in traffic). So location-wise it's very good (with a car). HBO channel didn't work on TV, but I was not bothered enough to even mention it to the Reception people.

The staffs are very nice and friendly but the facility is a dump. Parking structure is very bad and is so hard to park. The hall way smells so bad ... needs good ventilation. Room is very small just like Motel6. The elevator looks like it's ready to break down. At least breakfast is good.

This hotel was recently remodled which could be nice if it was kept up i got the feeling that because of the recent remodel the staff did not feel the need to clean as well as they could have. If I had not booed through hotels.com who had already charged my credit card I would have checked out and found a different hotel. The walls by the elevators […] were filthy, there was a noticible area around our toilet that was dirty when we checked in and was never cleaned the five days we were there! I wiped a portion of the area with a tissue to see if it would come off (it did) then left the tissue there to see if the area would be cleaned that night the tissue was gone and the area still dirty. The location of the hotel was very convenient right off of the five freeway. The sheets seemed clean I was slightly comforted by the fact that they were white as it would be difficult to hide complete fith.as many others have said the parking is difficult especially if you have an SUV, parking spaces are extremely small and parking is limited. Finding a dolly to transport luggage was very difficult traveling with two children for a week we had quite a bit of belongings that I ended up packing on the stroller to bring to the room.The breakfast was convenient especially traveling with kids....i would stay away from the hot food though. I made the mistake of wating the eggs and paid for it for two days after...no fun on a vacation. Read more

We had never stayed at a Quinta before & were worried because it's not in the heart of San Diego's busy section. What we found was a very convenient location with wonderful employees. It was clean, quiet & had excellent free breakfast. Definitely not a place to spend your vacation days but excellent for sleeping.

The staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel was nice. The rooms are updated. The hotel itself is a bit worn looking but clean. My only complaint was it took a long time to cool the room. Otherwise everything was perfect.

I have to say that the bed we had was the best and most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in, with lots of pillows! Awesome. The breakfast was very good, but lacked on choices for fruit. Stayed for three nights and was a very pleasant and quiet stay even though it was filled with families and plenty of small children, I couldn't hear hardly any noise at all! It is a fairly new hotel with all the amenities that make your stay feel like home, flatscreen T.V.and small refrigerator and micro. Very convenient as I brought back leftovers […] from restaurants. The room was clean and air conditioning worked perfectly well. I suppose the only small complaint was the bed mattress was a little hard but after a full day I was able to get a fairly good nights sleep. Close to PB and easy access to 5 Frwy, and close to small restaurants for breakfast ifyou don't want to take advantage of continental breakfast they serve. At first it was hard to locate, it's on a hill away from the main cross streets. And if you have a SUV, parking was a tight squeeze. However easy access from the parking structure to front desk, people at the front desk were very friendly and professional. We booked a suite with 2 queen beds and a sleeper sofa on hotels.com. Unfortunately this hotel does not have that type of room. The hotel was very accomodating in getting us a larger room with a roll away in order to sleep 5 people comfortably. The staff was very helpful with extra towels and the computers as well.

We stayed at La Quinta overnight on the 4th of July. It was convenient in terms of location. We wanted something close to where we were celebrating. When we got to our room it was located between the elevator and a storage room. It was also right above the entrance to the building. Being above the entrance, every time the sliding door opened the whole […] room would shake. In most hotel rooms you have a sheer curtain and a black out curtain. The black out curtains didn't close which kind of defeats the purpose of them being there. The toilet paper was located in a difficult spot to reach. And someone had set the alarm before we got there to go off at midnight. I'm assuming the room wasn't terribly clean because my husband woke up completely stuffed up from allergies. Finding the Hotel the first time is a little tricky since it is on a small one-way street where the street is nestled between two freeway on ramps (5-south and 5-North) it was very easy to miss and hard to get back into the freeway lane due to traffic. Once you know that you have to get into the freeway turn-off lane but are not forced to turn-off you […] can find it easily the 2nd time around. (There also is a back entrance to hotel but is not listed as an address) Again--once you get your bearings, it is a little easier to get to the hotel even if you miss the first turn-off. Later you will find the close proximity of the freeways makes it easy to get aound. Rooms were decent. Rating was downgraded because pool area needed better upkeep. The first time we went to the pool, we found lounge furniture in the pool itself! We used the whirlpool instead. The breakfast was good and the only drawback is that it is popular and crowded although you can spill out to lobby area to eat. Only a few exits to Seaworld. Read more

The location was not good at all. I was disappointed as soon as I drove up to the hotel. Then we had to literally drive down an alley where large trucks were loading and unloading product onto loading docks, in order to get to the parking lot and enter the building. The parking lot was very small where 2 cars could not get through at the same time. […] When I checked in at the desk in the lobby, we were told to get to our room we had to take the elevator DOWN to the 1st floor, which literally felt like we were in the basement when we arrived. Then we left to go and eat and when we got back there was no available parking so I had to park on the street. We went in to the hotel and the person at the desk, who was very friendly though, told me there was additional parking underneth the building. So I had to go back out into the street at night in an area that was not that nice, to move my car. All in all, I was disappointed and would NOT stay there again unless it was an absolute emergency. Oh, and we never got the free breakfast because it didn't start until 7:00 a.m. and we had to leave the hotel at 6:30 a.m. to be at an event. Read more
