This place is an Eyesore!! The pictures aren't even close to what this hotel is! This place was so bad the employees even were complaining!! "Information misleading"
For one when we arrived we understood that this location was close to the beach. Needless to say it wasnt. Then we had a heck of a time parking. There wasnt much room to park at all. Then we get up to our room and there is a musty smell all through out the whole floor and into our room. We couldnt believe it. I will have to say is the complimentary […] breakfast was the best part of the stay. As for getting a seat to eat in the dining area well that was like the parking slim to none. "Wanting a Unique experience, new title Horrible."
The shower was plugged up,tit took over an hour to drain, the soap was not replaced the next day. I asked to have tickets purchased for zoo per their suggestion. The next morning they could not get the computer up to allow me to purchase the tickets at a discount rate they had sold me on. I am very disappointed, I had hoped to have a unique experience […] just not a horrible one. I plan on going to San Diego again, next time I will book my own hotel. "Let down"
It looks like a hotel that was bought and they slapped the 'La Quinta Inn' on the outside of it. Way different than I am used to with La Quinta.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Disappointing"
We've stayed at several La Quinta Hotels before, but nothing like this location. The hotel is still under renovations and building supplies are laying around the parking garage. We were given one of two wheelchair excessible rooms, because it was available with a King bed that I reserved. The water in the shower turned off as I was ready to shower. […] I quicky called the front desk and the manager arrived at our room. He said that the room was recently renovated but they are still finding things wrong. He could not fix the problem and quickly moved us across the hall to another room. The new room was nice and clean but the TV was not working. I called the front desk and they sent someone upstairs, as he tighten the cords and turned the microwave on then the TV turned on. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. "hotel is under Construction , be careful"
the hotel was in construction It was rated 2.5 star but actually it's " construction site" during my stay , the whole hotel is smell chemical due to from new materials and even in the completed remodeled room. I found several screws in bathroom when I used it. for breakfast, we had to stand due to lobby was in construction and food was surrounded […] by materials of construction. that's what my experience during my stay. "Horrible did not stay there"
In a warehouse area the website said Mission Bay so we thought was in the same area as Sea World and was not. Not at all what the website showed. Old hotel surrounded by old warehouses and in a bad neighborhood. We did not even check in. Would not recommend at all!!!!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Beware of this HOTEL!"
We have used this hotel several times but this time was different! We reported being bitten by some sort of "Bug" two days in a row, it took a different staff member on the third day to get us a different room. A local Pharmacist told us it looked like bed bugs! A week later we have had to have special laundry for our clotheing and our bags fumigated. […] The hotel denies it be we still have the scars "literally" and added expense. "Holiday Inn , San Diego CA"
Based from what we experienced with the room condition of poor maintenance and the manners of staff, we DO NOT recommend this particular location to anyone. Electrical problem is a major maintenance in a hotel facility, and they failed to take care of this condition. We expected the front desk to console the miserable situation , but instead, the person […] on duty that morning said because we paid it through hotels.com that she cannot help us. When we stayed on the third day of our mini vacation in another Holiday Inn, that's where we got the "Customer Relations" contact to express the dissatisfactory experience we had.
